  • I've been with them for two years already, but on the other hand, anything production ready goes on my dedicated server/KVM VPS.

    Thanked by 1Neceros
  • I bough the $20 yearly VPS and the performance was too slow. I thought it was the problem in CentOS 6, few days ago, I re-install with CentOS 7 and notice that there are no different. Although the Support from George is fast, but the servers unusable. Currently, I have setup the VPS just for Backup File Server. I have switch to another VPS from Virmach with great performance.

    yum just took 6 minutes to upgrade one package

    [root@etss ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test_$$ bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -f test_$$
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 93.1395 s, 11.5 MB/s

    They are constant none the less :P

    I bought $20 yearly VPS 3 days ago, no need to benchmark, only few hours playing with it will realise, this vps not useable. unless learning how to use putty is all you need

  • @jae: Did you buy it due to the recommendations from a certain former user of this site?

    That user was making a lot of money for those recommendations.

  • I bought $25/Year 1.5GB RAM 4CPU Giảm Giá Hosting - #2 Custom Plan 5 days ago. The VPS is not delivered yet.

    I am very unhappy with this comany.

    Acceptable to only use half a megabyte of RAM when the plan is supposed to have 1.5GB allotted to it?

    This provider is not recommended at all.

    did they solve it?

  • jaejae Member

    @JoeMerit 2gb/60gb/$20 exactly
    agreed that this provider not recomended, but is there any provider cheap as them?

    For 1 GB RAM, ArubaCloud.com and their DC1 Italy is good. Around $14/year.

    Doesn't matter as long as you have backups.

  • ordered a VPS from Ethernet Servers using the link https://www.ethernetservers.com/clients/aff.php?aff=297&pid=197 Then I complete the payment using Paypal. Until now I have not delivered yet. I made a ticket, already more than 24 hours no answer. Previously, I've booked another service, and after Completion of direct payments the VPS is delivered

    I ordered from them $20/y, and vps delivered less than 1 hour
    But, at first week, vps way too slooowwww.. i have exact experience like this threat https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/1476665

    after complaint via ticket, my vps little better now

  • I ordered from 07/16/2016, it still pending, I opened support ticket, status is "Provisioning" but I not get any reply.

  • I ordered a couple of months ago and it did take a few days to provision. Having said that I was (just discontinued) super happy with price /performance and would happily take another one when the need arises. Benchmark here;

    The network speed tests are all from LA to London.

    That means the diskspace is oversold and the node only has 200GB spare.

    Now you have no data to lose in there, have you tried asking them to delete the container and reprovisioning it? Also, I really recommend you to use their LA location instead. Their Buffalo location has a really bad network.

    I've the same package and moved to LA. They're till crap opposite of what your bench.sh says.

  • He was a shill who made $$$ (and still does) off people signing up for these plans from this shit provider. He magically gets better performance than anyone else (probably an empty node.)

  • I am pleased for those who have a good service from Ethernet Servers. My own experience has been one of wasted time and hopeless support. I have a vps and tried to install webmin/virtualmin myself, but this is not possible via ssh. I have opened several tickets and even just tried phoning them, and no response! I have asked to cancel and get refunded and still not response! I have now had to open a dispute with Paypal. So much for a good service!

    @andyansell: Maybe follow up on the discussion that you opened about VPSGod ( https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/115960/vpsgod-bad-service ) instead of necroing an old thread about Ethernet Servers ...
