vimalware is 60fps@1200p on crysis 3 bad?

I would never know. Anything over 30 is science-fiction territory for me.
(sci-fi = it will become possible in the future with radical advances in science :D )

Of course, 60fps is awesome. Tis The holy grail.

  • Well I run a good 1200 FPS in tekkit classic, on ECNetworks tekkit server :3 in a room crouded with 30 players (drop party) and a ton of items running around. I normally get around 100 fps maybe in fc4?

  • ECNetworks said: good 1200 FPS

And this is important because? Maybe your eyes are special and can see more than 25 FPS? I never understood gamers and their desire for some unreal FPS figures :) Maybe because i'm not a gamer myself.

  • Just thinking how much useful computing (science simulations) could be done with that kinda machine. Also thinking about the people who have the capability to do such things and run low on resources :P

  • @Rhys_quadex EXACTLY! XD Finally someone who understands me.
@rds100 My eyes aint special. Infact I have quite poor vision, but higher fps is better like rhys said.

  • @vijai I use the machine for gaming and I don't tolerate lag :p

  • @cassa I have approx 400 porn sites open at the same time! Jk. Although I bet i could.

No i don't need 64GB DDR4 ram even though i upgraded to it. I like to use as many DIMM Ram ports as I can.

Also if we're gonna talk servers one of the servers i own (running windows server 2012 r2) has 256GB of DDR3 ECC 1866MHz ram and dual E5-2690v2 processors.

You sound like the stereotypical minecraft kiddo with your smileys and "xD"s everywhere, not to mention the worthless bragging about obscure specs and claiming to spend money as water.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if all of what you said is complete bs, considering you even claimed to have the samsung 2TB SSD, and didn't respond to william when he pointed out it's not even available for consumers yet..

Then why even bother buying a i7? Hyperthreading for games? lol.

Here are my bad ass systems. Top that! Btw, almost everything I do is still CLI :)

    Desktop (circa 2000) : Celeron 2.40GHz, 640MB RAM, 320GB (spread across 4 IDE disks)

    Laptop (circa 2003): 1.30 GHz Celeron M 350, 1.5GB RAM, 40GB (IDE disks)

Workstation (RPi, circa 2014): 700MHz ARM (OC to 1Ghz), 512MB RAM, 8GB (USB disk)

  • I said I have a 2TB samsung disk by accident, of course I meant a 1TB. The buttons are right next to eachother so calm down.

I'm not a kid i'm 22 years old, Yes i play minecraft avg 20 mins a day i'm more of an all round gamer,

I provided proof of the system i have in two printsreen links.

@rajprakash Can you still get less then 2GB of ram in a desktop? And what on earth is CLI? Sorry...

This is what I needed to read, LOL.

  • I bought the 5960X so I can have DDR4 ram on a gaming system. All I7s (or most) come with hyperthreading :L.

It also helps with the various levels of multitasking that i do like playing a game whilst listening to music and sometimes even rendering an image.

  • @netomx Don't judge me on which games I play, I spend most of my time playing garry's mod and trolling idiots on there, and you may find me on battlefield or farcry,

I know a 31 year old that plays minecraft. Chill bro.

    Hey guys!

Just finished rigging up the new beast, got some nice stuff in this tank

    CPU: Intel Core I7-5960X
RAM: 32GB DDR4 2133MHz (proof of ram and cpu: http://prntscr.com/5wdyi2)
    Storage 1: 120GB HyperX SSD
Storage 2: 2TB WD HDD (proof of storage: http://prntscr.com/5xt8x8)
GPU: dual GEForce GTX 980 SLI (Another two may be added soon, not sure when!)
    PSU: AX1200i

    Gonna be awesome for gaming!

How much did the whole PC cost you (including mobo,cpu,ram,psu...)?

  • CPU - £720
    RAM - Including upgrade to 64GB - £(around)400?
    SSD - £80
    HDD - £120
    GPUs - £1200
    PSU - £122
    mobo - £350

Around £2500 I cannot be arsed calculating it.

  • Also - Debian won't dualboot. I try and boot into debian and it just doesn't boot at all, I'm trying to use debian 8.

  • ECNetworks said: I'm not a kid i'm 22 years old

Did you hit the wrong buttons there too? 1 and 2 are really close together, like you said.
