I really like this comment.. Just proves you don't know much about pricing and it makes you seem like a money grabber.

Excuse me @ATHK but I would like to understand every word of the comments posted here, that's why I ask those kind of questions, I really want to know what you guys think because I have never started a business internationally and I would not like this to be a short-end thing but a long-term one.

You could do that, but I just tether with a VPN on my MacBook and Three doesn't disconnect/charge me - I push about 30GB/month alone on tethering per month without any issue.

Interesting - I tried that and they spotted I was using it immediately.

I wonder why Koreans and Americans love VPNs though they don't have a firewall like China...
I am a chinese and focus on latency too, so KR JP SG HK TW are all good. But cheap bandwidth only available in JP and SG.
And I use a US west coast VPN to access to League of Legends (NA).

I am a Korean, Korean government censorships and blocks website like dictatorship does, they don't even tell reasons why it is blocked. we can't access some sites such as Grooveshark, 4shared. we don't have a firewall like China but we have a stupid government.

    How did they do that?

    ISP-level blocking of sites.

Ah, Italy has a similar system where the courts manage the censorship part by forcing the ISPs into it.

Same deal in the UK, although it's mainly just torrent and usenet sites at the moment.

  • We have this too. The government forces us to block online gambling sites that didn't purchase some license.

    What handset?

JoeMerit said: just do what tons of companies do, advertise unlimited and terminate anyone who actually tries to use it.

Companies get away with it too. There's an LET circle jerk in force that throw shit towards anyone trying to use large amounts of bandwidth on large pipes.

Definitely an iPhone 5, might have happened with a 4 too.

You can thank Apple for that. The telcos can specify a second APN for hotspot traffic.

So they will redirect you to a gov warning page like warning.or.kr?
In CN you will not get gov notices... your connect will just be reset (HTTP) or your DNS will be poisoned (HTTPS).

    Bastards :-/

  • For some reason major porn sites are not listed on google.de, although they are not blocked in Germany.

I had never heard of google censorship in Germany until someone told me. I wonder what else is "hidden"?

    sigh governments...

  • Alright, thanks you all for your questions. Another one for the record.

How much bandwidth would you like for 30usd a year?

  • Felipe said: How much bandwidth would you like for 30usd a year?

$2.5 a month, while I have PIA with unlimited bandwidth, 5 devices, port forwarding, SOCKS5 proxies, and 21 regions for $2.66 a month.

I don't see any reason why I would pay for your service. You need something other than bandwidth to tempt me.

  • VPN + OVH = Perfect ? OVH/Kimsurfi with DDoS protection and always unlimited bandwidth can't really go wrong. But if you don't like France, CA, or any of their other locations or policy's then you can look around for some cheap deals on LET/LEB.

    Over a terabyte.

Personally for anything from 30USD upwards, I'd expect enough bandwidth for me to not have to worry about coming anywhere close to using it. Saying that, I don't use too much, so this would vary for others. 500GB/month would easily be more than enough for myself, even on the heavier months.

I think that unlimited bandwidth is a MUST for a VPN service provider. Most people will like to download movies from torrents etc.. so unlimited bandwidth is a great + for a VPN provider.

  • I think unlimited bandwidth is a must for a vpn. But u can set the pretty high limit, that not every client can reach(80-20 or 90-10 in percentages)
