    Just don't mention BuyVM...

Ah. Let me guess, they didn't use the correct amount of vowels in a sentence?

I'm not even going to mention it because then it will kick-off again.

I only mentioned it as a joke as I assumed everyone knew of the Mao/BuyVM beef.

    Thanked by 10xdragon

how on earth did he necro this thread.

And he read it wrong. (:

Tariq, the question WAS for VPS providers.

  • Actually if there are no hardware problems or looking for a flexible plan, I never sent any ticket to provider. Don't understand how how people measure how friendly a provider is when contacting though tickets. If I provide enough infomation, problem should be solved within a few tickets.

Several hosts, but one in particular that hasn't been mentioned yet: VPS-Forge. Great and friendly people :)

EDIT: Yeah, the one that's shutting down, unfortunately.

  • There are many VPS providers I have tried before, one standing out. I don't think that this company has been mentioned yet - EthernetServers.

George (the founder) is probably the nicest person I have ever met from a company, being that he has two qualities that I love, patience and sympathy.

For example, my PayPal account was restricted. He gave me time to link my credit account to another PayPal account to pay my invoice.

Overall, EthernetServers has been the best company I have been with.

  • INIZ is definitely the friendliest I've ever used, at least when Patrick was the owner.
Have no experience with the new owner as I've cancelled my stuff.

But for me, support is not needed to be friendly. they just need to be effective.

    Skylar from Crissic :)?

he is the baddest support never be friendly

  • SpiritSpirit Member

Being friendly sadly isn't always enough. Even the most incompetent and useless provider can sound nice and friendly. It doesn't really help... (first hand experience).

Many providers I use are polite and friendly, but if I would be forced to name one as example of professionalism and friendliness my vote would go to Bernhard from Castlegem.

Funny as I thought Mao's writing style was a bit feminine. Apparently standard NLP makes an allowance for Eastern Europe when guessing gender :)

As for friendliness, I like the hosts that simply host stuff. They get my money and I get working hosting. The friendliest host I've spoken extensively with was the same one that disappeared 3 months later (after paying yearly)
