  • @Devil I think they're a bit better than OVH. They do have real support which I've used, and it's solid. I also have a seedbox with them, no issues there. Main benefit over KS is the network, it's full gigabit access - with a minimum guarantee. So on the cheapest boxes it's 150mbps guaranteed but you can burst up to 1gbps. I've never seen speeds below 250-300mbps up.

    Online.net offers support? (Because OVH/KS doesn't).

Yep, although I have only used it once for a billing issue. I had a hardware issue too but that was sorted automatically by them.

  • @mikeyur @hostnoob Sounds nice. Looks like I am wasting my money and time with KS. I should rather shift my seedbox to some nice 1TB plan with Oneline.net or a decent reseller.

Any plan/reseller recommendation folks? (And if I get it via a reseller, I will deal only with the reseller right, and not Onlone.net itself?

    http://oneprovider.com/dedicated-servers/paris-france

And yes you will deal with with reseller only, not directly with online.net

  • I did believe that reselling online servers wasn't allowed? They have a special agreement with them probably?

Anyway, the pricing isn't that interesting (at least if you intend to keep the server a while as online has a setup fee)

  • @ben78 OneProvider doesn't have a setup fee. However for the same price they seem to provide a lot less than what OnLine itslef provides.

    For example:

    OnLine gives you: 8 Cores, 8GB RAM -- http://www.online.net/en/dedicated-server/dedibox-xc

    OneProvider offers: 1 Core[0], 2GB RAM -- http://oneprovider.com/dedicated-servers/paris-france

For the same price, i.e., Euro 15 per month. (In fact OneProvider projects that 15 as a discounted price and hence for a toned down server their actual prices are higher). Also OneProvider doesn't seem to reveal much about the server config on the product page or even inside after you have added it to the cart.

So I guess it's better to go directly to OnLine rather than going for OneProvider.

[0] That's what I could find about Via NANO 2250 1.6 GHz on the net.

Yes they're an official reseller of online.net

Yes I know the value for the price you pay at OneProvider is less than what you get at Online.net but I suggested it only because you had asked for a reseller. Remember, resellers are almost always expensive or provide less value for money than the original company.
