    @aus

    Can you please tell me which link you followed that showed this error? CloudFlare has recently locked our site in "I'm Under Attack" mode, which can cause some issues like this to be seen from time to time.

    Edit: I've just double checked and confirmed that all links included in the opening post do in fact work, and direct to the pages that they should.

    Yes, you can install any OS that either we provide; or that you can upload an ISO or qcow2 format template for. This includes Windows, Linux, BSD, and many other Operating Systems built on the x86 or x86_64 architectures.

    Either in our Montreal or Scranton location, sure. Our Chicago location though, no.

  • [TemplateInstantiate] Error allocating a new virtual machine. Incompatible clusters in NIC. Network for NIC 0 is not the same as the one used by other VM elements (cluster 101)

  • Hello @jazz1611 , Can you please tell me which template you were trying to use?

  • @GoodHosting: template ID 153

  • @GoodHosting

    I want to move my mail server so I got a container last post as a test bed. I haven't deployed yet and now I'm getting a little impatient. Sufficient to say I've had better experiences (although, I've had a lot worse).

    A ticket of mine has been on hold for three days. I understand that it's a low priority ticket (issues with media mounting), but who is this "Damon" person that will "update [me] soon" - and when is this soon? #QFF-8637-IKO I can't do anything until I can get my base OS installed.

    I would love some more precise responses and at least an affirmation within a reasonable amount of time.

  • Speaking of mail servers...
    @GoodHosting how does a customer manage ptr records with your system?

    Template ID # 153 is not available to the "GoodHosting" group, can you please PM me some details in regards to your account (such as your user ID or username in SunStone), so I can locate which group you are a member of? By the sounds of it, you might not actually be a direct customer based on that Template ID.

    @Silvenga said:

    If your ticket is about Ubuntu, we plan to get it solved today. The issue being that Ubuntu (and their developers infinite wisdom) decided that it was a great idea to remove the VirtIO drivers from the Minimal installation [by the way, Debian included them] (and therefore, from the installer) of the Ubuntu Server 14.04.4 amd64 distribution, making it difficult to template. We were complaining about this in the ##linux channel on FreeNode and we had a few wonderful community members helping us remedy this situation.

    I will check into your ticket shortly, and see if this is really the case (I may be way off.) You should get a reply today regardless of if your ticket was to do with Ubuntu or not, and I do apologize for the delay. You will be credited.

    Just open a Support Ticket with the IP address and resulting domain name you would like it pointed at, and I can forward the rDNS request upstream or submit it via API (based on if the IP address is part of a block we own, or we lease from the upstream providers.) We are working on a means to integrate this into SunStone, but being ruby; it's hard to extend.

    Yes, you should place the requested location in the order notes.

    I would not recommend running both JingLing and HitLeap, given that they will both perform poorly as they will both be fighting for the same resources (Disk I/O, CPU, and then RAM, in that order.) We recommend our HitLeap specialized CentOS images for the use of HitLeap dedicated, as it can generate much more minutes than Windows can (based on the lag that Windows has passively.)

    JingLing sadly cannot run under WINE, so this must be on Windows.

  • Thanks :-).

  • may I use hitleap special plan for other purpose??

  • Very good prices!

  • Any bulk offer for Jingling Optimized VM in the foreseeable future?

  • @theenter said:
    may I use hitleap special plan for other purpose??

    Yes, although the specifications of this plan are as follows:

    CPU Units: 25 (over 2 cores)
    Memory: 384 MB (dedicated)
    Storage: 5GB SSD+RAID10
    IPv4: 1 IPv4 Address

    Distro: CentOS 6.5 x86_64
    Packages: @Desktop

    There is only about 1.2G left on the disk after Desktop and HitLeap installation. And frankly, our 256MB yearly plan is much cheaper than the HItLeap plans are if you really compared the prices, but the HitLeap plan is approximately the price of our standard 384M plan (although it has less CPU, as HitLeap is abusive on CPU.)

    All in all, you would get more value for the same money, if not using HitLeap, with our standard 384M yearly plan; which works out to $1.31 per month, and has more CPU than the HitLeap optimized plan does.

    Thanks, sent you a PM question regarding the offers; not sure if you were the right person to ask, but I figured I would get a happier response from you than anyone else at the moment (I'm not currently liked by the other staff, haha.)
