actually no, when I try and connect from any browser directly it shows
but through vpn works fine, so my system dns must be messed up or something.
Its fine here, but i agree with most of the other posters; 1&1 is crappy and not worth it.
Yahoo charges domin automatically, even if your domain is transferred away.
$0.99 for a .com is a very good deal.
Especially true if you need a lot of domains and can afford to lose them.
1&1 is a quite bad registrar, in many ways: the invoices contain sometimes mistakes, the UI is plain wrong and fails often, etc. OTOH, I haven't had any problem with their dns and mail filter. I would suggest you pay with PayPal, and if the invoice is wrong, you cancel the agreement. After 1-2 months, they will lock your account (but the domains will continue to work).
Or just avoid them entirely...save yourself the headache.
