The price is set at "FREE" for the mysql offload service. It's easier to keep track of things that way.
anyone tried this? last time I tried mysql proxy is quiet slow
Realistically, it depends on how you've got it set up. If you're doing cryptodb on amazon rds (DB slowdown ontop of a shit offloaded DB platform), it's going to be slow. But if you're doing round robin redundancy on locally available mysql servers, it's not going to be as bad.
Unfortunately we are not able to merge them.
