    They are called the Falklands.

Even if the Falklands did have good connectivity it wouldn't be any more "secure" than hosting in London. It is a part of the UK after all.

Ask in Astana, not here :)

@MrLadoodle said: What about the Falklands?

Sat uplink, few thousand euro / mbit.

    Monaco: Too expensive
    Faroes: Too expensive
    San Marino: Not possible
    Sealand: Not even a country
    Vatican: not possible

@DanielM said: I imagine saterlite internet would be a better alternative in malvinas

    This IS sat.

  • OliverOliver Member, Host Rep

@DanielM They're called the Falklands Islands in English.

  • MuZoMuZo Member

    Bermuda, http://logic.bm lol

  • @William said: This IS sat.

Its routing through Saint Helena, you sure it isn't DSL?

  • @MuZo said: Bermuda, http://logic.bm lol

They only accept triangular servers in Bermuda ;)

This is very interesting :) There were many ppl looking for exotic locations, being able to give it with one bill in 30 places will be a good asset and will definitely bring some bigger names, good luck :).

For someone interested in Romania there is Voxility which seems cheap and pretty good. They host high BW Tor Exit servers for many months and were able to handle it well (with IPs from the guys running them, tho).
There are many DCs here, some privately owned, some from big providers. BW pretty cheap, colo also, remote hands too.

Do Zambia! BW is expensive but it's getting cheaper, fiber has been introduced at relatively cheap prices and new ISPs are coming about, not ever looked at the networks and stuff but I think they peer with UK things.

  • @Muzo, steer straight away from ECP (Ecommerce Park) you will be paying >200$ for 10mbit and metered.

Netherlands Antilles (ECP) will be doing better in the next couple of years, CAR-IX is online (same techs as AMS-IX) and new direct fiber with fully up to date datacenter being built right now. 2013-2014 << Until then steer away!

  • @MrLadoodle said: Its routing through Saint Helena, you sure it isn't DSL?

No it isn't - Look at the ping, just the sat downlink has this reverse DNS and is actually in FK (look at the ping between the hops).

    @MuZo said: Bermuda, http://logic.bm lol

    Asked, no service

Politically not stable, no IPv6, much sat connected, oversold BW

  • MuZoMuZo Member

    what about Morocco for Africa?

  • @MuZo said: what about Morocco for Africa?

    Expensive

    Expensive

I think you all understimate what BW levels we need - we NEED 100Mbit flat in all locations, no matter where it is..

    @William said: Politically not stable,

'Eh, other than the well-liked president dying in '08 and being replaced I don't see any reason why it's politically unstable, I've been there many times and have family there.. Not all is sat connected either, I believe some have connections to South Africa.

  • How about Syria? :)

If you can help me kill Bashar the Bastard, or Assad the Anus, then sure.

<3 Souriya, if only Bashar and his stupid family were gone/out of power.

@liam said: Wouldn't South Africa make more sense?

Aye, but I lack common sense ;)

In all seriousness, try Turkey, but be careful with the ISP's, some are total shit.

  • @Infinity said: If you can help me kill Bashar the Bastard, or Assad the Anus, then sure.

WHy kill Bashar? Why not kill the terrorists blowing builldings up (Who the west supports just like the zionist state)
