You plan on running a warez site on oracle?

  • The frontend and app look pretty decent, but honestly you're overcomplicating things with this VPS search.

No host is going to sponsor TBs of bandwidth for a pirate proxy, but the thing is — you don't actually need it.

Why proxy the video traffic through your own backend in the first place? Just let your backend scrape and resolve the direct m3u8/stream link and pass it to the client player. The video should stream directly from the source to the user, not through your server.

If you do that, your backend will only handle lightweight JSON requests. You won't even need a VPS — it can easily run for free on Cloudflare Workers without needing a credit card or 4GB of RAM.

    Direct playback is blocked

all of those shitty piracy sites and piracy video sites do referrer checks ,CORS checks that a legitimate browser on the client cant lie about while a server-to-server call can

Why not move the whole backend to Cloudflare Workers? You can handle scraping, API requests, m3u8 playlists, and even proxy video segments through Workers. That would remove the need for a VPS. But Cloudflare has restrictions on video delivery, so using it as a full video proxy might not be suitable. Also, is direct playback blocked because of CORS or a 403 error?

    Blocked by CORS/Referer?

In your Android app you can just set the and headers in ExoPlayer directly — CORS doesn't apply there, so video will stream directly without proxying.

For the web, you don't need to pipe the actual video chunks (.ts files). You only need to proxy/rewrite the m3u8 playlist itself (which is just a few KBs of text). Forwarding gigabytes of video through a free server is a dead end anyway.> @shoislam said:

Yes Cors plus Header blocked and there is lots of more reason to use Proxied playback

  • I very much doubt any provider will sponsor you besides "dmca ignored" providers.

Also I would be very careful if your website gets popluar since only scraping and proxing traffic does not protect you from dmca takedown requets and you will most lightly get terminated from most providers as they dont want to take on that risk.

Many anime websites simlar to you who dont host the context themselfs still get taken down and sued. Here is a short list: AniMixPlay, Animeflix, Animetsu, AniWave and plenty more at https://everythingmoe.com/graveyard.

Either way I can give you props for being opensource but that will lead to you being targeted more unfortunatly. Best of luck

    That's not gonna work

Do you really think he is going to pay with a valid credit card per function invocation after the 1mil for proxying illegal content

This is my AI agent, whom I gave access to my Let account (that was a mistake) (I supervise everything manually anyway.)

not a bot, just testing a script via browser cookies and it triggered a POST when it shouldn't have.

Anyway, back to the topic: @aphex In the Android app (ExoPlayer) CORS doesn't exist — you can set any headers/referer directly to the host. In web, you usually just proxy the small .m3u8 playlist with CORS headers while chunks load directly. But if OP is determined to proxy full video streams, that's on him.

    @shoislam

Just a heads up, since your project scrapes pirated anime websites and proxies the video streams through your own backend, you could face some serious copyright issues under Bangladesh's Copyright Act, 2023.

    Possible legal consequences include:

    1. Section 85: Intentional infringement of film copyright. Up to 5 years in prison and ৳1,000,000 in fines.
    2. Section 84: Other copyright infringements. Up to 4 years in prison and ৳500,000 in fines.
    3. Section 87: Unauthorized broadcasting, if applicable. Up to ৳300,000 in fines and confiscation.
    4. Section 105: Certain intentional infringing activities for personal gain. Up to 2 years in prison or ৳200,000 in fines, or both.
    5. Civil lawsuits: Copyright holders could seek damages, injunctions, and legal costs.

this is all i found anyway..... cuz im not banladesh perosn

It depends on how the service operates and what the law considers infringement. Also, being open source, or not storing the actual video files doesnt automatically protect you.

Your backend is still retransmitting copyrighted content to users without permission. ( also priretttt )

The help I mentioned was for a little while, maybe a month at most, with around 10TB–100TB of bandwidth and API hosting. But I don't think I can do it now, maybe....... I have to think about it...... I wanted to help because you're 19 and already have some knowledge. I dont think money should stop someone from learning and improving their skills. I hope you can use your knowledge to build something better and legal instead.

Also, if you can, please make the donation popup look more professional. The middle part makes it look like you're begging for money before an exit scam.

But I'm also an anime piratttteeeee myself.............

  • For anyone curious. Here is the review thread from FMHY on this site. They are just a wrapper for other Anime sites, there are dozens of these. Not worth it IMO.

Hi clanker, yes I'm aware, the other half of the point of this illegal project is web browser use and regular browsers refuse to lie about this without a header tampering extension

  • @averagedatahoarder said: Kids start an anime embed site, ask for free VPS on LowEndTalk... smh

But unlike some people who just use Vercel, he actually tried using a VPS. So at least he has some configuration experience..... maybe.... i hope he would use that for a better usable and something legall

I'm guessing ChatGPT said, oh, Vercel is too expensive after however many page loads, get someone to give you a VPS

And ChatGPT psychosis into thinking his iframe site is some revolutionary piracy site

  • @aphex said: Hi clanker

Not a clanker, just use AI to translate and summarize long threads to save time and translate. Everything is read and typed by me.

Listen I decrypt the Embeded source so i can use them Directly with proxying that cost me Bandwidth and i only use Flixcloud embeded cause for that it's hard to use it's decrypted version
