Looking for a small Japan VPS (HK/SG also OK) — WireGuard + monitoring, good route to China
Hi all,
I'm based in China and my main VPS is in Los Angeles. I'm looking for a small Asia box for personal WireGuard and uptime monitoring.
Location: Japan (Tokyo/Osaka) preferred; Hong Kong or Singapore also OK
1 vCPU / 1 GB RAM / 20 GB SSD
500 GB+ bandwidth, KVM, IPv4 + IPv6
Personal WireGuard use allowed
Budget: $20–25/year ideally, open to a monthly deal if the route is good. Route stability to China Mobile in the evening matters more to me than benchmarks. A test IP or looking glass would be great.
Thanks!

Hey,
Saw you're looking for something small in Japan. We've got servers in both Tokyo and Osaka, so either location is an option.
Our smallest plan is $6.90/month:

I know it's more than the $20–25/year you're aiming for. We also charge $0.00945/hour, though, so you could spin one up for a few hours and see how China Mobile routing behaves in the evening before spending more.
I'd definitely test the route first since that's your main concern.
bro is doing ban speedrun

Orange VPS is ok. I bought one when their 10.10 deal when it was on.
Or you should wait for black friday a few weeks later. I've heard @SmartHost and others are going to do a good deal.
Thanks for the advice, and for linking your old thread — really helpful. I'll keep an eye on the Black Friday deals.
