So an IP range geolocated to Ukraine on a VPS hosted in another country? Unlikely to find it.
Yes. I have the same with Albanian IP so it could exist.
@SKRIME I think they can change the IP geolocation for you if you ask.
Thanks for the tag @User59128.
@pvalerio That's something we do. We set the GeoIP per individual IP on request, and Ukraine is on the list like every other country. You tell us the country after ordering and we set it.
Physically we're in Eygelshoven, NL, so the hardware isn't next door to Ukraine, but for most uses the registration is what counts. Registry-based databases generally take the correction. Anything that measures latency, IPinfo being the obvious one, will still place it in Europe, because that's where the packets actually come from, and no provider can change that without hardware in the region.
Our EPYC 1G fits your spec at 1.49€/mo with 1 core on AMD EPYC Zen 3 Milan, 1 GB RAM, 10 GB NVMe in RAID 1, 1 IPv4 plus an IPv6 /64. Traffic has no monthly allowance at all, so 1 TB isn't a number you'd watch.

Would you do North Korea and the Vatican?
@forest Fair catch on "every other country". North Korea is the one we don't do. The Vatican works.
Palestine?
(Why Not North Korea anyway?)
I would say it is risky in a sense that any service will probably ban you, if they detect such geo.
Probably less likely than Russia, since there's no actual legitimate IPs from North Korea.
Even 175.45.178.17?
That's a server not a client that another service might ban.
why not North Korea
I read this as saying that no traffic is included (or in other words, that all traffic costs extra)
I guess that what you mean is that traffic is unmetered
To let you know, that "country" does not exist/isn't recognized by Germany.
Really? Germany recognizes the DPRK as a country.
@forest Palestine works, it's a standard ISO country code like any other on the list.
@moscow @forest North Korea we leave out for political reasons. On top of that its real address space is tiny, so an IP that suddenly geolocates there sticks out and tends to get blocked far more often than it's useful.
@angstrom Good catch, that wording was ambiguous. Traffic is unmetered - no monthly cap, no counter and no per-GB charge.
Heard Island and McDonald Islands has an ISO country code but fewer IPs than North Korea!
Actually it would be pretty cool to have an IP that geolocates there. Not conducive to Kim Jung Un memes, though.
Also what about Iran and Antarctica?
@forest @moscow I'll stop going country by country here, otherwise this thread turns into a geography quiz. If there's one you actually want, open a ticket and we'll tell you whether it works.
@SKRIME That sounds nice and exactly what I was searching for.
Do you also have Albania on the list? Then I could move those servers over too. Antarctica would also be interesting. Do you have a list of all countries somewhere?
@SKRIME Is The Soviet Union available on the list?
