Yes it is, and OP even understands that not sure why you pretending it's not the same product. Coolify also has it's own hardware and managed hosting. (Albeit very expensive)
If you would like a list I can procure you a list of service providers (managed) that allow BYOH which beat this price in general, and in features.
In honor of userjoe I've gone ahead and opened our flash sale again for 20 uses

No, it not same. What you telling is BYOH, which is beta right now and the price can change. If you want to compare then it is same price with Coolify.
The main selling service (from this time CN open) is fully managed app, better than Coolify because you don't need your hardware and your time to managed. Imagine you are traveling or sleeping, but the underlying server some how down then you need to wakeup to fix or wait it back to normal. With managed service, someone will do it for you.
About the price, can you tell me fully managed (yes, FULLY managed service, not BYOH) that can give me 2vCPU, 2GB RAM, 30GB disk, and 2TB bw with the price 10$ per year I'm currently running on CN?
That's just ignorant, Coolify is not the only managed service.
This is literally the equivalent of me saying look my Ford Ka, great price compare it to a ferrari scammers! Leave this one to CalibreNode, he handles this much better..
ps. i never judged his price just said it's not "Cheapest" it's absolutely fair and reasonable.
Cant be tempted, i'm a strict 6 core, 16GB, 160GB VPS buyer, this is not in my spec range
Also it's locked to your Cloud app platform? or it's useable as pure VPS? as this would be a genuine feature difference if so, prices are better than your VPS line so i'd be confused
WP though, handled very well.
I have great respect for your perspective. However, in reality, one must have a clear and distinct viewpoint for their arguments to truly resonate with others. I’m not entirely sure whose perspective you’re speaking from—whether it’s that of an open-source developer or someone else—but it comes across as being from a "God’s-eye view," almost as if you were an arbiter of order initiating a debate.
As you mentioned, the pain point LET targets is remarkable deals, and CaliberNode has clearly stated their commitment to addressing the practical issue of rising hardware costs. Therefore, it feels entirely natural for CaliberNode to appear on LET as a viable solution. To be honest, it’s difficult to grasp what your core argument is, which is why I feel like you’re articulating your points from that detached "God’s-eye view."
Personally, as long as a solution like CaliberNode maintains high availability, I am more than willing to keep using it at its current price point. As the number of applications you need to deploy grows, the time and energy you have to invest increase accordingly. In this context, I believe CaliberNode’s entry into the market is neither lacking in wisdom nor value, contrary to what you might think.
Thanks for helping us get another discount 😂 Caliber Node is by far my favorite hosting company.
Is there some sort of automatic failover? If the node goes down, will it take my app as well?
Our VPS line isn't integrated with our Cloud Apps platform and is completely unmanaged. Our VPS plans are also less expensive because they don't include the management aspect.
Yes but the resources are simply a pool correct? e.g I deploy an app 3 week later it can be on a different machine entirely?
Not as of yet. We are deploying this infrastructure next year. All of our nodes are backed up every 7 hours and run raid 10 the industry standard. We also provide free snapshots off-site.
Sad, it would make a massive difference, good luck with that.
@CaliberNode I ran into some issues while deploying the Healthchecks Cloud App. Even though the deployment seemed successful, it wasn't working as expected.
I know it's something we've been working very hard on and have multiple vendors in place to accomplish this.
great, ordered it. Tell me in more detail how I can use these resources, for a bot or an AI agent, for hosting a website?
Please submit a support request so we can handle it quick for you.
You can host website with Nginx cloud apps or build your website into a Dockerized stack and leave them test the build to have it as custom app.
There is also Ghost and a few more option for blogging already there if you're interest.
This has been fixed. New deployments won't have this issue.
What all is installed to an empty vps for self hosting?
As far as self hosting it's a small agent that controls docker for our templates. Our panel still handles DNS and SSL. It's basically the same as our managed apps but on your hardware.
The only disadvantage is our snapshots you won't have that feature. All docker backups will be up to you.
You're forced into CaliberNode's DNS for auto SSL? or the panel at all? self-host should not require a sign-up & reliance on a third party unless chosen anytime?
Also be good to clarify "pool" of resources is always the same machine, or apps will be deployed to wherever there is availability as that would explain the much better pricing.
We provide subdomains by default. You can certainly use your own DNS by creating a cname.
We use also utilize cloud flare proxy or default host proxy and both options are available.
Either way SSL is automatic.
The pool can be utilized across 6 of our locations. Most people deploy in multiple locations.
Didn't clarify my first question, or answer my second one to be fair there.
You have presented options but can self-hosted be done without the use of your panel? because if not then it's not self-hosted.
That's self-hosted hardware, with a managed control plane not quite the same. (I not saying this is bad and it seems clear on your post just your reply as confused me)
(Also answer for the pooled resources question would be nice)
I did edit the question regarding the resource pool and to be honest I missed that part.
When you sign up for a package you're allocated a set amount of resources. Those resources can be used across any of our six locations. We don't lock your resources to a specific location.
Some customers choose to deploy their entire subscription in Dallas and others spread their apps across multiple places. It's entirely up to you how you want to allocate your resources.
There's also been some mixed wording around whether this is self hosting. To clarify no you cannot operate these apps independently of our control panel. Our platform manages the deployment for bring your own hardware.
Thanks for clarification, then I think it's an excellent priced offer overall.
I do think you need an auto-failover for a "managed" service of this kind for it to be really useful and maybe even one day persuade me into dropping my own control plane. but as you said this may take some time but look forward to seeing the improvements.
(One last annoying question, can you see which server by an ID your app is on? I'm curious how networking is handled if I wanted 2 apps to communicate locally. Specifically can you ensure an APP is deployed on same machine for the best performance or will it naturally route the local traffic to the machine the other app is on)
That is certainly the plan. We are working with our venders to have this accomplished by next year. And no problem I welcome the questions.
Local networking isn't available at this time. This is a planned feature. We are also transparent about the host node and physical load can be viewed under the deployed app in real-time. We are completely transparent of our nodes
You also have the option for tailscale and headscale.
Only a few more at this price.
@AlteredParadox @Neoon @buggedout
big oof, not simping for webhosting.
highly highly recommend the host himself and the service. 5/5
