Correct, the task is to persuade this business to pay you those $100 every month. If you can do it - great, your margin is thick.

Which is why you have to provide something they can't get for $7. The minimum is going to be them having your direct phone number for quick problem solving. You can't just leave it hands off like a cheap provider. You have to provide something that was more annoying to them than $100 - usually, something they had to hire someone to do.

And it doesn't matter if it's actually better than $100, only if they think it does. A lot of the "your problem now" stuff is here. Hosting a static website is easy, they'd still rather pay a little money to make it someone else's problem. If they go to Wix it won't be Wix's problem, it'll still be their problem if it breaks and Wix's AI chatbot can't fix it. If they go to you you try to sell them a whole website service from beginning to end. You can have limits like you don't do web design, only hosting, but then you'd better take full control and responsibility for the hosting. You might even want to partner with a web design company so that you can offer design. That's for small businesses - big ones wouldn't outsource their web design.

That shouldn't be too hard. Don't wait for them to advertise it - ask them about it. Prefer ones that actually own their servers and aren't just reselling someone else.

I'm still searching for different providers and operators in this space, and that's probably the biggest challenge for me right now.

FWIW, I did have two VPS (IIRC) from turkish providers at least one of which was decent (but too combersome wrt payment).

I do not know of any particular upside (besides maybe low latency to a few countries in the region). Maybe there are some but that's not something to ask me but rather turkish providers.

Fair point. My questions are genuine though. Thought about adding one to my collection in the region but couldn't see any justification. It's not cheap there and no real world advantage as far a I can tell.

Don't even looking for a reason that makes sense cos I personally target different locations within NL just for the location. Amsterdam , Rotterdam, Groningen, the Hague, Eindhoven, Utrecht and some smaller cities. Real world usage, not much of a difference. I mean, just intrigued sometimes? If that makes sense?

Not really worth it tbh, market is oversaturated and would be very low margin anyways
