Bad experience: Rabisu

JunjieYeJunjieYe Member

I recently purchased a Turkey VPS from Rabisu based on multiple reviews stating they provide clean, native Turkish IPs (specifically in the 185.255.. and 185.93.. ranges). However, upon activation, I was assigned a 46.229.. IP. This is a German broadcast IP with a complete mess of a geolocation—it shows up as Germany in some databases and Turkey in others. To make matters worse, the IP has a high fraud score.
I opened a support ticket requesting an IP change. The customer service initially told me the issue was escalated to the relevant department. After waiting a business day without a single reply, the ticket was simply parked with an "İşleme Alındı" status.
So I pushed back and submitted another request, support finally replied but told me I would have to pay a $3 fee to change the IP.
This is completely unacceptable. It’s clear that while some lucky buyers get a clean native Turkish IP right out of the box, Rabisu mixes in dirty broadcast IPs and then demands extra money from customers who want to fix the issue.

    What is a "broadcast IP"?

Do you have a screenshot where they said you'll get an IP in one of those ranges?

Yes, from some evaluations on Nodeseek: https://www.nodeseek.com/post-912076-1

I don't see anything from Rabisu in that thread.

I don't see anything from Rabisu in that thread.

These are Nodequality test results posted by other buyers. In short, Rabisu offers native Turkish IPs but also mixes in some broadcast IPs—and unfortunately, I happened to get assigned a broadcast IP.

So you weren't promised an IP in those ranges.

    Well, unfortunately, it is.

If you wanted an IP from a specific range the provider has, you should've mentioned that before placing an order.

Also, as far as I know, not all providers will necessarily entertain/accommodate such requests, but it's certainly something that should've been discussed before ordering rather than assuming you'd be assigned an IP from whatever range you had in mind.

But the biggest issue is that I purchased a Turkish VPS, yet my IP shows up as German in the ipinfo database. It’s a broadcast IP, they gave me a really suboptimal IP.
