  • and here are Trustname's more non-ethical business tactics:
    from their own page:

Prices for .com, .net, .org and several other gTLDs have temporarily increased during the transition period leading to September 11.
For some extensions, the increase may be approximately three times (3x) the previous price.
Additional revenue generated during this period will be used toward transition expenses and development of the future Trustname operation.

  • I checked on my other accounts on Trustname with no domain registered, and i received their mail about this. But on other accounts with 3 registered domains, i dont received any mail regarding this notices. Is this weird?

yeah it seems weird. but i hope your 3 registered domains are still safe in your account and not got illegally transferred away from them by their employees. read trustpilot reviews and many customers have lost their domains.

looks like their main domain trustname.com and fewmoretaps.com already moved to Spaceship registrar. i dont think mine would last. i hope they wont touch it lol

  • Never trust 'bulletproof'. It an advertisement that they're willing to break the law.

Interesting update on the situation. It seems like the registrar is now stealing domains and transferring them away.

I forgot the procedure but aren't the domains they hold force migrated to somewhere else by icann?

But I guess everything is possible. Who knows.

    Yes

It looks like ICANN is actively looking for a registrar to take over Trustname.com's domains.
