It's because people try to make internet more hospitable to weak-willed, sensitive, naïveté under the banner of inclusion, instead of sandboxing them. Beside national security concerns.
Worse than eternal september
gmail is pretty lightweight and just works, no need to have any support
Know of a way to log in with Tor and without a phone number?
Ugh, first hitch in trying to migrate to my new email... @rackoona sends a verification code when you try to log in, which I obviously can't receive. To make matters worse, [email protected] bounces saying that the address doesn't exist.
Sent them a PM. I hope they answer.
Nah, I do not overcomplicate things.
lol @Rackoona
Yeah I think you will have much fun with that. Wonder if this circumstance would make it easy to highjack some accounts.
US sanctioned sounds really worse than it is, i have seen mostly banking implications (hard to find any bank at all, especially neo/non-physical, no Visa/MC/AMEX but i have something else instead, obviously no Paypal, trading accounts very complex etc.).
Banking will match your Name + DoB and just deny you regardless if they have to at all, same as most non-US bank blanket ban all American citizens.
Travel sure, i doubt i get any ESTA anymore but usually - for me also - if you get US sanctioned you never planed to go there anyway and are likely diametrically opposed politically. Best to avoid Five Eyes area to be safe. EU mostly does not extradite legal residents (= also non citizens) to US as their prison is seen as torture.
Sure, in theory i cant use US services but no one will enforce that physically inside EU if you have a company or someones ID, i have to pay Google and DigitalOcean as my last US suppliers somehow.
Now US sanctioned + Interpol red notice renders you into US custody or sent there in a lot of countries, especially poorer ones, that heavily limits travel. Red notice listed you also do not get air tickets even domestic anymore at all.
Obviously I don't expect them to let me in without authenticating using my password! I just need them to allow me to login with my password rather than additionally requiring email verification.
Why would anyone use an email provider literally called autistic
It look good on job applications.
ADHD + no pants weekend = reality tv star
Autistic + computer = hacker red teamer
(Sorry, bad joke)
High-functioning autists. I'm sure many people here uses cock.li or similar.

Don't you think many of the crypto expert are themselves autists (including @forest ) (maybe psychopath too)
American-style democracy and freedom are beyond your understanding.
I actually used to use cock.li, although I used their airmail.cc domain to be slightly more professional. Unfortunately nearly every service blocked mail from them so I switched to pissmail (about as professional as it sounds) then to Autistici, but now that it's been designated a literal international terrorist organization, I'm with RiseUp.
Me and WyvernCo are the most psycho. We got diagnosed professionally by a mail host.
How about gab?
Yeah, @jar approved. And he's seasoned veteran against spammers.
I'm also confident you trained yourself to withstand both physiological and psychological torture.
I survived watching the Endless Eight from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, so I'm pretty sure I can handle anything.
mentally strong people dont use webmail, they use local client with pop3/smtp!
malicious tongues have claimed that, in this case, it has to do with political leanings
Gab has an email service? They're a little too far-right for my tastes. I'm more of a socialist civil libertarian than a right-wing libertarian.
Wait, aren't you supposed to be radical centrist?
I'm... complicated. But I'm first and foremost a free speech, privacy, and anonymity advocate. My economic and social views are secondary to my priorities.
Uh i see

There is countermail in sweden juridiction accepts btc but not cheap.
https://countermail.com/
"IMPORTANT! Service is closed for new registrations!"
You like CGDCT huh,

Here's my recommendation
@Levi do tell me that this is gay or something
Have this issue with multiple prociders here, use icloud hide-my-email sometimes i'm lazy re-use an email or so, the amount that refuse, or act like i'm a criminal for a email change is laughable.
Email should be as unique as a password, not allowing that is shoddy.
Blame MJJs, honestly.
No. You're mixing apples and oranges. Did you even read what this is actually about?
That's not even mail-provider political orientation (if there's any at all) related, but gov sanction related.
They sanctioned the mail host because it was hosting something the U.S. government considered unacceptable. But any mail provider could have hosted it anyway.
The only difference is that Gmail would have handed over the data and then continued as if nothing had happened and you wouldn't even know about it, whereas this mail provider didn't. So it acted exactly as designed.
There's no fault on the mail provider's side here, political bla bla aside.
The mail provider wasn’t punished for being political, but for being privacy-oriented, even though they did exactly what you’re bothered that a privacy oriented host wouldn’t do. They kept their side of the bargain, so your argument fundamentally fails.
you're right! after further research into the matter, it turns out that “autistici” is primarily a terrorist organization that also happens to offer various online services, such as email. that’s why my initial assessment - that one should stay away from political email providers or view them with skepticism - was wrong. cooperating with terrorist organizations is a completely different matter than just sending a few emails back and forth.
Lol, it is not.
You don't live in the US, with current madness where "anti-fascist action" (Antifa) is classified as a terrorist organization.
Our main disagreement comes from the fact that I am pro-human-oriented, while you're pro-[redacted by M.]-oriented, and everything that smells leftist, anti-Nazi, and so on is considered terrorist by default.
Anyway, you live in Germany, where leftist organizations, freedom movements, non-governmental organizations, LGBTQ etc., don't have the status of terrorist organizations yet, so you can't say that a mail provider is "primarily a terrorist organization" simply because it hosts various anti-fascist, freedom-related groups.
