@vsys_host I think you need to rethink your abuse handling. The fact that nothing would have been done if people didn't continue to pile on you in this thread indicates deeper problems with how you deal with customers.
Imagine these two situations:
Do you really think both customers should be treated the same? Do you really think the second customer deserves nothing more than a canned response? And do you remember what you said?
It's nice that you finally rectified the issue and even compensated OP, but in order to rebuild trust that was lost in this incident, we want to see you take steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
19 IPs in that subnet that get Spamhaus'd? Did it happen at the same time or during a longer period of time?
even if they gave in and reinstated vps their triage kungfu is clearly weak and they'd rather ban you and keep your money than investigate properly.
