Bandwidth-optimized VPS in Central America or Mexico
I'm looking for a VPS in Central America or Mexico (preferred):
Minimum requirements:
- 1 vCPU with AES-NI
- 1 GB RAM
- 5 GB storage (any type)
- Unmetered bandwidth @ 10 Mbps or 5 TB/month @ 50 Mbps
- $100/year in cryptocurrency when paid annually or triennially
IPv6 and strong connectivity to AS263812 would also be a plus.
I intend to install a Globalping probe and a Tor middle relay. Unlike exits, middles don't cause abuse complaints.

send da IP so I can see what PoP would work
The IP of what? The server will be connecting to other servers around the world, so there's no one specific place I'm optimizing for. I mentioned AS263812 only because it has good international connectivity in the region.
Any well-connected PoP in Central America or Mexico would work if it's physically located there.
@forest, I think one of LET host is going to open in Mexico. Forgot who's the host
That's good news! I'll keep an eye out.

Their Uruguay offer still works but it's sadly not really much traffic and quite costly.
Hi,
Melbicom has VPS in Atlanta for 3.9 €/month:
CPU 1 core
RAM 2GB
Storage 20GB
Bandwidth up to 1 Gbps. If the monthly quota 5TB is exceeded, the throughput is reduced to 100 Mbps
Data transfer Unmetered
It can be paid in crypto, and annually is an option.
You can take a look here: https://www.melbicom.net/virtualserver/?utm_id=2025_BSTForum100
Atlanta, Georgia? That's North America, not Central America.
But yes, unfortunately, nothing more southern than that for now.
Upping my budget to $120/year.
@forest do you take donations or something for all these relays?
No kyc or pii. So fruit and vegetables
I've never gotten (or solicited) any donations before, so I just pay for everything out of pocket.
22k fruits and vegetables it s allow
