RS COMPUTERS - Merger with AVS ISP
Got this email:
We are excited to share some important news with all of our valued clients.
RS Computers LLC is joining forces with AVS ISP. This transition will bring many new features, locations, and improvements for clients of both companies.
AVS ISP is already operating in multiple locations, including:
Tirana, Albania
London, UK (IE Geo)
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Skopje, North Macedonia
Over the coming days, all RS Computers clients and virtual machines will be migrated into the AVS ISP platform.
What this means for you:
Your pricing will not change
Whatever you are currently paying at RS Computers will carry over to AVS ISP. If you are currently on a non-monthly billing term (quarterly, yearly, etc.), your current renewal price will be converted into monthly service time starting from your next renewal date as AVS ISP billing is handled on monthly terms for automatic renewals. You can always extend your VM manually in the AVS ISP panel for longer terms, offering added discounts.More available locations
You will have access to additional AVS ISP locations while keeping your existing VMs. No data will be lost during this transition.VM migration and downtime
Each VM will experience a short planned downtime while it is moved to the new system. Migration will begin after you receive a welcome email from AVS ISP containing your new login information (unless you already have an account, in which case, you will not receive a new welcome email). Please check your inbox and spam folder for emails from AVS ISP. If you have trouble logging in to RS Computers or do not see your VMs there, please check your AVS ISP account.
Existing AVS ISP accounts
If you already have an AVS ISP account using the same email address, your VMs will be moved directly into your existing account. You will not receive a new password email — you will only receive a notification once your VMs have been migrated.IP addresses
For now, existing IP addresses will continue working normally at AVS ISP. More information regarding any future IP changes will be provided if needed.Billing at AVS ISP
You can continue using Crypto payments, just as you did with RS Computers. Please note that AVS ISP uses a prepaid billing system. Instead of receiving invoices, you will receive VM expiration reminders and can either maintain account credit or add credit before your renewal date.BGP and BYOIP support
AVS ISP supports customer BGP sessions and Bring Your Own IP (BYOIP). If you have your own IP space and/or ASN, you can announce it from the AVS ISP network.IPv6 support
AVS ISP fully supports IPv6. More information will be provided on enabling IPv6 for your services. Cloud-init will be used where possible to automatically configure IPv6 addresses; if cloud-init is disabled, manual configuration may be required. The migration process will begin with clients located in Skopje, North Macedonia, and will continue with other locations afterward.
If you have any questions, please open a ticket through RS Computers or AVS ISP (https://www.avsisp.com), and our team will be happy to assist.
Thank you for being a loyal RS Computers client. We look forward to continuing to provide services for many years to come as part of AVS ISP.
Yours sincerely,
The RS Computers & AVS ISP Team
