Yeah I understand that, should've worded it differently, the cost isn't very relevant to my question.

It seems to me that the amount of RAM offered over the last 2-3 years is increasing, but the amount of cores remain the same and many times it's the same CPUs so it's not increased performance in that way either.

I'm just thinking about why the priority seems to be RAM for most people, and I don't mean just BF but overall disproportional specs like 1C/8G/30G are not uncommon.

Which I guess also could be seen as me just thinking out loud here. Welp.

Not every 1C are the same. Apart from storage allocation I wouldn't dare to call this ratio disproportional without regards to CPU and how big is allocation slice (is it 1 dedicated core?)
