@tchen - No it does not. It means that if you do not want to be throttled, we will not throttle you.
ofc all of us don't wanna be throttled, the speed was around 500Mbps and it will be good for the price of your offers.
Will you allow migrations from Dallas to Los Angeles when its no longer out of stock?
Yes, of course!
@GreenValueHost whats up with the yearly promos? posted my order number a while ago.
@GreenValueHost You guys sent me the payment receipt for the invoice for mine a little over an hour ago, but the service is still 'PENDING' - what happened to 'ACTIVATED INSTANTLY UPON PAYMENT', mate?
It has to be done manually.
If you entered in a hostname with less than 4 characters, our billing system (WHMCS) can't instantly provision your VPS and it'll have to be activated manually.
@GreenValueHost thanks for the update. should i open a ticket or there is no need?
No there's no need.
dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasyncdd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync^C
root@vps17:~# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 144.374 s, 7.4 MB/s
I have serious doubts now.
EDIT: Nevermind, it's getting better
dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 20.0995 s, 53.4 MB/s
EDIT2: Back to abysmal:
dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 49.817 s, 21.6 MB/s
@GreenValueHost the hostname wasn't <4 characters o.0
test ip?
patience ... patience ...
@GreenValueHost any yearly bonus slots? if so count me in (order#9620145382)
Going to guess. OpenVZ?
it's openvz. the node i got has appears to have a prerelease E5-2620 instead of the real deal... hmm...
Why not?
NSA, FBI and so on...
The I/O Is most likely being hit hard with all the new VPS'es provisioned on it at the same time, and people filling their 100GB of space, i'm sure it will be back to normal soon, Jon is a great guy.
I'm on a E3-1240v2 Node (TX2). Thought to migrate. But, Your I/O speed on E5-2620 makes fear in me.
Oh, Now My I/O is very bad.
SolusVM doesn't like hostnames less than four characters, yet they haven't told their WHMCS plugin.
We diagnosed the issue with I/O on tx3 to be an issue with massive I/O hogging from two virtual servers on the node which were found to be illegally mass torrenting copyrighted content. Those users have been terminated and refunded and the I/O performance should be optimal again.
Anyone here get this special upgrade now:
FIRST 10 MONTHLY ORDERS GET 1 MONTH FREE AND 2 EXTRA IPv4 ADDRESSES !!!
FIRST 25 YEARLY ORDERS GET 1 YEAR FREE AND 4 EXTRA IPv4 ADDRESSES !!!
Well, my yearly 512MB VPS does have 6 IPv4 addresses, so I guess so?
All customers whom qualify for a free upgrade have received one.
There are no more free upgrade spots available left.
Sounds like a good deal. Can I use it for vpn at uni? ( it's for my son)
Of course!
I hope there was $1 or $2 VPS from your new offer
