So does this mean the EU is over? I never liked the idea of you people coming together to deny the supremacy of the USA. Glad you came to your senses finally!

The EU alliance was over the moment it abandoned its core concept of peace, then started looking for funding wars which did not belong to it.

USA was merely a glue trying to hold Europe together through NATO. Once that glue was gone (because it needs to mind its staggering debt), EU started to become a military alliance - however this never worked in the past (started both previous world wars) and likely never will (just look at the leaders we got in EU nowadays).

One can not even begin to fathom what domino effect this conflict in Ukraine has triggered. It was a colossal mistake of incomprehensible proportions on diplomatic level - and what we see now is just the beginning. The ripple effect just started. Economical and political bridges are burned for many years to come, all because NATO wanted more power.

It takes many months to build a house, but it takes just a couple of hours to burn it. Now we simply burn it down - for personal greed of politicians who want to prove some personal view, while holding on to their positions.

EU has failed. The expensive energy is proof of this. Greed always wins, because greed is a flaw which exists in all of us.

Information provided to me from a well positioned insider source about the cause:

Over here, they still aren't sure what the cause of what happened is, but it's most likely that it was all due to an imbalance in the grid caused by the instability of solar panel generation. This type of generation is growing rapidly, but it's very unstable—you can't predict the output. We've been told that in recent weeks there have been several days when the grid was on the verge of collapse, until everything finally happened.

    Very interesting...

all because NATO wanted more power.

Ah you've bought in to the propaganda. What happened to the other propaganda "need to clear the Nazis out of Ukraine" and the other one "three day special military operation"?

Putin wants Ukraine's land and he's willing to sacrifice your countries men (Russians) to get it. He will keep lying to you until he has the land, all your men are dead, or until he is dead. That's all there is to it.

There's another thread for that topic. If you want to keep repeating the propaganda to people who will never believe it you can do that there.

Learn some history mate, why were Minsk agreements not respected? Why was Memorandum of Budapest in 1994 not respected? Why NATO expansion was decided for Ukraine in 2008 and reiterated before the war in 2021 (even though Germany and France were against it)?

Don't buy into emotional stuff. We are humans and emotional baggage has value, but in international diplomacy emotion has zero value due to security implications. Emotion is simply used as propaganda, from both sides.

You're talking as if this would take at least five days or something. What? They would die in 10 hours without power? And they wouldn't move on after the power has been restored?

Yes, it's annoying. Yes, it's inconvenient. And people are not used to it. But still, can you stop this crap, please?

This ice breakage (freezing rain) happened in my country about 11 years ago. The whole country was under ice. It caused a lot of damage to the infrastructure. Do you know how many people died because of it? Zero.
