    Very tempting, but from the previous storage box experiences, I’m a bit hesitant about a yearly commitment. Is there a possibility to test it before buying ? An hour or so would be fine. Or is there a monthly payment option?

YABS completed in 20 min 37 sec

    FIO could probably be better. I'm only using it as secondary backup storage though, no big deal. People have been complaining about their VPS going down but so far it has only gone down for about 1.5h for me when they did network upgrade. I'm happy enough to drop some extra cash to try out this all rounder box!

    Am I correct in understanding that there's no point in having a 2.5 Gbit/s connection if the disk system can only transfer files at a maximum of 80 MB/s (640 Mbit/s)?

    Yeah it's true that the HDD is the bottleneck here. And the 25GB I got for bootdisk is also HDD which is a shame. Hopefully the 60 GB bootdisk for my ordered all-rounder box is actual SSD :smiley:
    Although having higher connection speed is still somewhat useful as for caching small files in memory.

    I have ordered an 2025 5TB SSD+STORAGE ALL-ROUNDER DEAL. But I have to tick to acknowledge that this is a pre-order server to be delivered after the 5th of May. Apparently, a vps server is not a pre-order service, right?
