19 mins. That’s nuts. I’m wary because my last machine couldn’t handle a basic cloudron install. It was supposed to be beefy. I was told it is what it is.

getting VPS from these guys seems to just be asking for trouble, I wonder how many years this deal will last before they cancel that too.

I thought the same as well, especially since the €1/mo/TB pricing is already too painfully low for some of the more-reputable providers here.

To be fair Hosthatch offered 20TB storage box at $200/yr if paid triennially. The only concern is whether HostSlick is going to discontinue these plans some time in the future :D

Fair but such low $/mo/TB pricing is only accessible if you buy a huge chunk of storage (like 20 TB), plus you have to upfront $600.

Smaller plans cost providers more since they need more IP addresses, bandwidth lines, separate disk images, more clients per TB (= possibly more support tickets generated), and other overhead. It’s way cheaper for a provider if a single client paid for 20 TB than if 20 clients pay for 1 TB each.

Sure, but Hosthatch makes it work.
    And that's what really matters.

Yeah I don't disagree with you at all. But ultimately I think people are being wary mostly because HostSlick doesn't have the best track record on LET. If a known reliable, premium provider like hosthatch offered these deals then I believe you wouldn't think twice before buying. So far I have had no trouble with HostSlick, let's see if it will continue to be like that, or will I have to seek for refugee offers from other providers some time from now :D

Please give the other party more time. I believe the boss will provide you with a reliable server and a product that exceeds your expectations.

Actually can wait. But need confirmation from provider. They seem not answer our tickets. At least can post news here or something. How about in future when have any problems? They will keep silent like this

How did this guy get approved for a tag again? The negative reviews that follow this guy around everywhere and servers disappearing wasn’t enough red flags?

From the outside looking in, it looks like this guy has serious cash flow issues needing to do random top up promos, pre-sales, and his servers/entire network vanishing for weeks at a time.

If you’re a user of this site and purchased this, I suggest you chargeback now before you fall outside of the chargeback period and your server disappears a day later.

I think he's trying to switch more to the dedicated server Market with higher-end customers, instead of dealing with the flaky low-end Market of customers which offers very little profit,

I may even go ahead and take the dedicated server offer he has now, I had a dedicated server with him a few years ago and I never had a freaking issue.

If you go back through his comment history he says this until the money runs low and he needs run another yearly offer on VPS again. This time he didn’t even have enough money for his own IP addresses.

I had a long conversation with him a few years ago over the phone, whatever he's trying to do I'm pretty sure he has good intentions, as I said I never had any issues I still have one VPS even though I'm not really using it every time I check it it's running, but it will start to get more use in a few weeks I got things I need to set up

That’s a serious allegation. Can you link to that drama ?

I think you guys need to be more patient, @HostSlick replied to my ticket up to a week, but the important thing is he still replied and his price is also very good. If you want better, you pay more.

I would hardly call selling storage servers at €1/mo/TB “high-end.” I concur with @SirFoxy ’s concerns, especially when other providers (that have been in the business for a long time) say that €1/mo/TB is unsustainable unless they are sold in bulk 10+ TB packages. I won’t call this provider dishonest but the offer does seem too good to be true.

Well whatever but if someone returns or cancels or can't pay for one of the $60 a year ones I'll take it, I'll jump on it a heartbeat if somebody transfers one.

I’ve got around 44 servers with this guy and have been waiting about two weeks for three more to be delivered. He can be a bit slow sometimes, but he always gets the job done. It’s just one guy running everything, and he’s one of the few who I actually stay in touch with through chat so I know what he does behind the scenes. You would wanna see how hard he works, late nights at the data center, staying in hotels for the passed 2 weeks, waiting for hardware deliveries, setting things up himself. Just last night, he sent me pictures and videos of over 30 blades he was setting up by hand and transporting in his own car. People need to understand that he also handles custom orders and builds special blade servers for other hosting companies. I do notice he’s slower when it comes to VPS orders or the special deals posted on LET, but that’s not my concern. From what I’ve seen, he focuses more on blade servers and the bigger market he has multiple providers that have servers and depend on him, and I’ll guarantee you he’s not short on money and dead pooling is out of any scenario. He’s been expanding capacity and investing and those that know him personally will know how things evolved in the last year alone. Things that many don’t have any idea what’s going on behind on the scenes. Many people have insisted he hire a tech team to help with support, but he seems to prefer doing everything himself. Honestly, he could easily support himself just by selling dedicated servers alone and still, I strongly agree, if he’s going to offer VPS deals, he should improve his support or be more communicative but that’s kinda difficult when he’s working at the same time but he may need to sort that part and take it seriously sooner or later as it’s one of the only negatives that’s pulling him down whilst his services are very premium.
