Precious holy grail, still works technically
I guess it’s an improvement but speeds up global warming
First you need to be calm down, let sisters handle your issue on the server in the holy datacenter infrastructure.
just go to chatgpt.com and explain your issue. It will ask you questions, and offer solutions, follow them and it will help you for sure.
any serious person is there
Rack911
He asked for help on a tech forum. If you can't or don't want to help, just stfu or something.
@Tushar include some more info, what OS you're running, what happened, what error do you see, etc., so someone can help you or at least give you useful advice.
You are asking people to solve your problems for free, in a business board and on top of that your only description of the problem is, server don't boot after restart.
How can anyone help you? You offer them anydesk, which is an actually hourly billable job, on a Sunday btw.
@Barbaros, we brag about how we're a community and whatnot. Yeah, we were, a long time ago... when people actually discussed tech related topics and helped each other. Then, all kinds of "meme" morons started showing up.
What's wrong with him asking apart from that he didn't include a lot of useful info? Forums can be a great source of information and help if just people aren't complete morons.
Who's the provider and what OS are you using?
Did it stop working immediately after you installed CloudLinux?
Has anything changed in your configuration that may have caused this that you are aware of?
Fixed the issue
In the spirt of helping people, maybe someone finds the thread from Google
I changed the boot in bios from UEFI to legacy and boots fine now.
Awesome!
One fellow human soul will most likely sleep more calm tonight thanks to your kind gesture
good job!!
Oh I had the same issue when I was installing Windows 10
There is right and wrong way to ask for help. There are plenty of people here helped me with my issues or provided their valuable opinion.
Saying that you have an issue that you can't describe, then offering Anydesk (most people wouldn't want to connect random anydesks I would say) and then complaining not getting proper response would fall under wrong way to ask help category for me.
I was 100% serious when suggesting him to use ChatGPT btw. It could help even in his native tongue. I solved or at least troubleshoot lots of my issues with ChatGPT. HE could start with saying his server doesnt boot after restart, then could go step by step to diagnose the issue.
But he didn't even tried sharing the actual details of his issue.
And yeah I am one of the meme morons by the way, sorry if you don't like my kind.
I try to help others, I don’t see the point in making someone issue worse.
I sadly see the “meme” idiots that post rubbish are the same who people often complain about too, posting and trolling people does not really help their company image either.
Giving someone 5 minutes free support, they will remember in the future if they are seeking a new provider or someone asks them to recommend a provider
I beg to differ that it doesn't help with their company image. People come here for exposure of their brands. Would you keep renewing your Host rep tag if your deal topic wouldn't stay on front page not long enough? Or if no one buys your services? I guess not.
Well I mean sure you can tell people "share their order number and bend over front of the mirror and take a selfie and post it into the thread in return of getting double bandwidth" is a good marketing trick to keep your post active. But don't pretend that it's better than shitposters or trolls.
I am not aware of any provider is unhappy about trolling / shitposting under their thread either or no topics got locked for such reason.
And don't forget, trolls and shitposters has budget also, so indeed they are also customers themselves so don't treat them like shit.
@Mumbly well as you can see even the free souls have an expectation or hoping in return. So it's not "wrong" to expect something in return of asking.
Btw I have no issues with @xHosts or any other providers doing such thing.
@barbaros spare me. So many empty words now... as if you didn't have your chance
Regarding the rest, people here come from different cultural backgrounds and languages. Not everyone is well versed in forum culture or knows his way around. People are different... What's important is to be human first, to understand that.
No one demanded that you help, but if you can't or don't want to, just don't be a dick about it. That's all.
I won't engage further on this discussion.
I'm sorry to hear that you don't know how to read or understand. Hopefully you do better over time. Perhaps ask for some free help on LET and someone might help.
I look at it like this, you can have 2 providers offering the same service, same price, everything 100% the same
Provider A - has a history of trolling or being unhelpful here and also direct to their customers
Provider B - Has helped people, maybe asks people to post their order number for a upgrade or to win something to keep their thread on the first page for a while
I think most would choose B, someone who has helped others, supported the community and uses the view as a professional image. There is a chance nothing comes of the help provided but people see a provider helping even non customers or someone with a history of being unhelpful to their customers, trolling random users which would push any potential customer away just based on attitude.
