    OP has red flags as a spammer and it would already filter many spammers from the start. Most people would rather a proactive provider, not a reactive provider dealing with issues after instead of before.

    Hi,

    i dont know where you take from the wisdom that the topic opener is a spammer or not.

    Of course, you can prefilter tons of usecases and people. Maybe you wont like chinese, as they are all hackers, same with russians... actually to be sure, take the whole eastern europe...
    Then filter all africans, they anyway have no money, so if they offer money, its anyway stolen. Similar to most asia and south america countries.

    And after a long story of GEO filters, you can start filtering black people, white people, small, fat, slim, who ever, including your noise neighbor you anyway dont like. So most probably he is also some kind of scammer, spammer, fraud, what ever.

    Or you will just not do this prejudice and filter people who are known / proofed to do shit.

    You are free to handle things how ever you like it. Please allow us the same.

    Racism rant? Either you're being obtuse or naive and stupid.

    OP is gone. He didn't engage. Bare minimum effort.

    What kind of justification do you people expect out of curiosity, other than "I need to send emails"?

    I guess companies just want a confirmation that the port won't be abused.

    Hi,

    since when are abuser's admitting that they are abusers? ^^;

    I am not sure if this will work out well :p

    So this all justify thing i do not really understand.

    I do understand that you will filter ports by default. Simply because you dont want unskilled users to get hacked and being missused as what ever.

    So a simple "please open the mailports" should be fine enough.

    But this "why" alias justify... i dont understand that.

    And sorry, edit for the topic opener:

    @ououpol

    https://layer7.net/cloud-server

    all ports open by default. But we are not abuse friendly... so if you plan to catch abuses, better choose another provider.

    Did you think for one second? OP has red flags as a spammer and it would already filter many spammers from the start. Most people would rather a proactive provider, not a reactive provider dealing with issues after instead of before.

    There you go, OP wants 100 fresh clean IPs every month. I do worry if many providers open the mail ports after simple request not seeing any red flags. And then I see the blacklist for my IP subnet has several hits (I don't send mails there, I just like to monitor them to get the feel about the provider).

    Based on my experience most providers do, at least for modest to normal volume of normal email.
    Just ask politely, or in case you want to send mass emails, pay up and use a provider who offers that.

    Also why don't everyone use aws ses 587 ? Why would need port 25.

    Because you need port 25 if you want to run an SMTP server.

    Port 25 is open by default on all our dedicated servers, and cloud servers. We have a very strict abuse/spam policy, so you would need to make sure that there are no spam issues.

  • tarisutarisu Member, Host Rep

    We allow 25 port but if we recieve any abuse complaints we cancel the service.

    It's a bad practice to close any port by default.

    Outbound can be closed but I prefer inbound to always be open. I have a read-only mail server I use to make infinite disposable emails on.

    You forgot to mention that you also want Centos 7. If the provider receives an abuse notifications, it’s a simple way to claim that your operating system was hacked 🤡🤡🤡
