Before setting up the relay, I had already deployed monitoring in advance to know which one was causing the issue.

From memory Vegas actually works out pretty well for us I think. The other continental America ones are pretty terrible to the point that I normally watch them the next day. They tend to start around 4 or 5AM here and I’m not an early riser such that I’d watch those races live before work.

Europe and other regions I’m mostly OK to watch live. Around 2AM is a pretty typical bed time for me anyway so it’s not too much of a stretch as long as there’s not massive rain delays or anything. Most races in a season start somewhere between 10PM-12AM for me.

The irony of it is that the AU GP doesn’t work especially well for me as I’m usually doing family stuff during the day. At least I can watch the repeat from about 8 or 9 PM however as opposed to it starting at midnight.

realtalk tho my site is not suitable for uptime monitoring
the code is so fucked that nodes randomly disappear then reappear like nothing happened 5 minutes ago

if you must use it, setup a changemonitor (https://changedetection.io/) and scrape your individual stats page for nodes that disappear

Grafana is too heavy; it's only suitable for important projects. For the relay, I chose the simple Uptime Kuma and real-time monitoring programs.
