I recently tried Cyberpanel (again, after many years) and it felt very.. weird. I had some issues during installation, not that big of a deal, but tons of things that just wasn't working as it should, imho. I'm more used to paid panels where things are maintained and setup properly, I understand Cyberpanel is free and that's great for those who want/need/like it!
Not quite sure how Cloudlinux would improve the security per se, other then just every account has it's own environment.
+1 for aaapanel. I had a lot of SSL issues with other free ones like cyberpanel, but aaapanel worked great. Little bulky and slow, but works fine.
I couldn't even make it past the compilation time to set it up lol. Sure, compiling would generate the best results in terms of speed and being optimized for your system specifications, but regular binaries and default configs are usually just fine, and can be further optimized down the line. Install taking hours sure is a tedious task, when there is multiple servers that has to be installed, customized, optimized etc.
aapanel is fast compared to cyberpanel
Maybe this helps: https://www.enginyring.com/en/blog/best-free-web-control-panels-for-vps-in-2024
Trying Flashpanel at here.

Do any of the free/open source panels support ipv6? i remember trying with hestia panel and couldn't get it to install. Anyone knows if that's changed?
Try Tabb.sh
It seems good with 2 servers in their free tier. It only supports Openlitespeed.
I am using CloudPanel since one year. Lightweight and fast - Pure NGINX setup.

I'm surprised no1 is talking about Keyhelp
It has everything you need, at the moment it supports only Apache (nginx coming soon). Other than that it has everything you need in a control panel.
Hi - Keyhelp is no doubt the excellent control panel and number 1 on my list of free panels. As you said, it only supports Apache; it was the only reason for not using it. Even I asked their support last year about NGINIX integration but they didn't plan it at that time.
Is this their official announcement for NGINX coming? What's the date of release?
Why would this be mandatory if "everything works" ? Do you expect billions of visits to your $4/pm 4GB RAM VPS where Nginx would be beneficial over Apache ?
Keyhelp works with IPv6 ✅

Still no ETA for Nginx ⏳

Yes, it does support IPv6 for sometime now.
I have moved everything from inception hosting vps which came with DirectAdmin to KeyHelp and everything works as it should. In fact even better.
