No, he is from LET RO detective department
The only police are admins and mods team I believe
You've really mastered the art of dodging the point and resorting to cheap shots. LET RO Police? Nah, I just call it as I see it. And if you're on someone's payroll to help them scrape the crumbs from a scam, well, that's on you.
Mafia style? Please, let's not get too dramatic here. You're the one trying to discredit with jokes when things get uncomfortable. You can laugh it off all you want, but that won't change the fact that there's a pattern of questionable dealings and associations that you're trying hard to sweep under the rug.
They should call out Internal Affairs in this case.
That's really what I was calling out between you and Calin. Some shady internal affairs.
I feel like I missed something.. what's going on here? What exactly is @host_c being accused of other than trying to help a fellow local provider "legitimize" themselves?
Well... he's basically Calin's tech guy, PR guy, service provider also.
Calin doing a shady business with lots of criminal activities allowed.
host_CHARACTER_HERE knowing this shit and continuing to help him, take his side, write his replies when English is too much for Calin's skills, now he's pussy posing in "I have no business with Calin" type of guy, serious provider and so forth.
He's just as low morality as the one he constantly helps, knowing he's a shady dude. He's just happy he can get a couple bucks out of Calin's pocket. Origin of the money does not really matter to this "vertical" (ironic) guy.
It was mentioned by one of the admins in Evo Hostings case.
But you said according to the rules. So it's not according to the rules but according to some admin? So if admin says they want $7/year deals it automagically becomes a rule for forum and providers?
Many people tag Calin anytime some customer comes on this forum requesting something that no one would realistically like to provide service for. Im guilty of doing this too, because its somewhat comical to direct an obvious headache of a customer to someone like Calin. But in the end, he still gets a couple dollars.
I guess considering his new status here, we should stop doing that, even though it's clearly a joke for everyone who knows his history?
Only way to prevent this is to ban him outright. Lied about his age for years and two crypro scams with victims that likely learned of him from this very forum. The swap as ram, random ASN swap with 30+ hr outages of even his own site, etc are cause for heavy scrutiny but not banworthy... But using this site to attract victims is pretty bad.
If not a ban then a vanilla add-on that changes any tagging of his username to a page to highlight it's probably a joke and no one is actually recommending him. One is easier than the other.
He changed his tactics, he now "Thanks" the posts to get sales
Looks like someone got mad and took down his website aswell
What i miss? Another popcorn time?
Yes.
Unless later, LET as an entity distanced themselves from it.
Have popcorn in your bunker? Can I visit for the free popcorn for serious business stuff?
highenddrama after highenddrama
when low end deal
Hello @Calin ihostart.com is not opening did you switch from 100g premium network to 64k DSL?
Andreix rants against Romanian providers and DDoS attacks go hand in hand.
I'd be tempted to tbh, but I only have like 60G of aggregated capacity as of now. Can't really saturate a 100G line...
I'd bet my money more on config screwups by him or his PR guy.
Unless its Mikrotik
Can that shit hold over 10G safely?
8G take it or leave it jkjk idk.
From AbuseIPDB https://www.abuseipdb.com/check/89.213.174.249 it seems that someone attacks his website for hours already (I just hope that @Calin isn't bruteforcing SSH)
Yeah I guess someone does reflected TCP flood towards his website IP address:
UPD. Greynoise https://viz.greynoise.io/ip/89.213.174.249 confirms that it is spoofable traffic (no TCP handshake was completed).
UPD2. New and more verbose traffic capture:
Shit...
IP Abuse Reports for 89.213.174.0/24:
255 reported IPs from this subnet for a total of 5,895 reports
Don't get me wrong, but those report can be generated by IP Spoofing. But it is not a secret for anyone that Calin is not picky with his customers.
UPD. Greynoise has seen only a few non-spoofable scanning-related traffic: https://viz.greynoise.io/query/89.213.174.0/24 spoofable:"false"
No provider benefits from being involved in or facilitating criminal activities.
AbuseDB it's a wrong website what show reports ,for example two years ago a Romania Company usage AbuseDB for make advertising
Anyone possible make fake reports for IPs, and we host lot of free speak websites , so many peoples have free time
All IPs from this subnet it's 100% legal
Maybe you understand now how work this websites of reports
What benefit do you imply? There (I mean in general, not accusing LET of anything) would be no bulletproof offers available if it was not profitable.
If you still don't wanna refund the 22k back, at least keep paying the PR guy. I liked it better when you invested in your english standards.
I clearly stated criminal. I didn't mention if it was or wasn't profitable. Everyone is welcome to their views but I don't believe that playing cat and mouse helps anyone win in a way that matters. If you live at home with your parents, maybe.
Nothing against bulletproof hosts or no KYC personally. Just don't think running a network with dubious clientele is a long term strategy for success.
I'm sure you've seen a lot of newer players try to make money in this industry and end up in a position they never accounted for. I hope someone who needs to sell their network (to recoup costs most likely) doesn't get involved in this. That is all.
