So, after 52 years since Intel did, AMD finally got out its own 4004.

yeah @OVH_APAC is carrying small dxck energy rn
but with all the shits happen in LET
ban is not even a possibility in my mind at all
How many of your 43 DCs still have wooden floors? Asking for a friend.
I get that @OVH_APAC is probably a very low-level sales team employee, but to not get a response from one of the other French guys who used to visit the site is kinda shitty. OVH has had this habit of ignoring and being quiet about issues, hoping people will forget over time. And who knows, maybe Black Friday might help users here forget about the KS-A. Folks here just need a bone thrown at them and they're happy to move on. I, for one, have learnt my lesson with OVH the hard way.
Which boils down to OVH telling us something about themselves ... ("stay away!")
Yeah, ban is completely unrealistic
But still, they're trying hard to look like they don't care at all with them never responding to any comment about a cancelled order on the KS-A thread even though regularly logging in, and then creating a sales thread and then not responding in that either
Guys! This is OVH we are talking about. You seem to be discovering America on the map over and over again.
It is what it is. I am happy with their service's price, they still didn't want to remove vat from the main site, even as on kimsufi is off and I presented the papers, but, so far, I am using Kimsufi and il me suffit :P
I treat them as any LE provider, a lot of leeway, not expecting stellar performance (they do delvier that, for the price, thoug), close to no support beyond the bare minimum (outages, etc.) and I am never disappointed.
Except for the Kimsufi range (and honestly mostly KS-A or only out of that whole range), they’re not cheap enough to deserve that kind of leeway IMO
Okay, i'll bite, any competing offers?
For which product?
Anyway, send a DM if you’re really interested in my take on it. Don’t want to link competitors offer in their offer thread
I will say there’s probably not any competitor for the Kimsufi range at all though, but it’s also a very niche market (apart from the KS-A which is an extremely good deal). Old CPUs with limited disk & network options.
Take the KS-6 for example, very impressive deal. Especially with 256 GB RAM, but very few use-cases need less than 2GB disk per 1GB RAM (NVMe option) as well as just a little over 1 Mbit/s per GB RAM (300 Mbit/s).
Couldn't be closer to the truth about OVH.
Plus, anyone thinks their network is good, sorry but you do not know what a good network is.
OVH dropped packets and jitter was bad in every experience I had with OVH. The cloud/vps whatever even worse. The hardware is what it is, alright, it's not like they designed and built the hardware components, though once an OVH employee told me the hardware was designed by OVH (probably means the multi-unit server chassis the server component are embedded into and racked, maybe backplane and mobo too which could explain some of the network stack crappiness).
That's my point, but I disagree on limited disk. Maybe if you consider the limitation not only in size but also speed. I have the SATA variants and they pack 4 tb of disk for 32 gb ram (not current offer, bought black friday a couple of years back, but as I can see they still offer SATA versions).
Yes, old CPU in most cases, some even indecent (the old Atoms) but if you need only storage and somewhat unlimited traffic, then there is no competition.
Hmm, yes, I guess the combination of relatively cheap storage and unmetered bandwidth is unique.
At least in smaller disk sizes.
took forever to finish but

They rarely bother to reply to my questions
I'm like a beggar always begging for mercy
I am afraid that is an accurate assessment. We chase cheap deals, therefore we are treated like beggars. There are plenty others where that one came from.
As a Romanian I am used to that and I don't really care.
