    Dear Community,

it looks like you do like our special offers. Due to the high amount of orders, we need to prepare new hardware for our special offers. Currently orders can still be placed, but will be pending until new hardware is ready. We expect the hardware to be ready at the end of this week. So we ask for your patience. We will get back here once the hardware is ready.

  • @UltraVPS You mention the price inc. VAT in EUR and then you mention a price in USD ex. VAT. Either do for both or one, this mix up currency only causes confusion.

  • do come back with LA

I got the special 3. Didn't know I'd get 2 separate disks. Is it possible to get one whole disk instead of 2 and/or get some more boot disk space ? :P I am already at 85% full

If you're using the small (extra) disk for boot (basically, the kernel), why/how is it already at 85% full?

It's true that one needs to reflect a little on the setup beforehand, but one possibility would be to use the small (extra) disk for /boot and the big (main) disk for /. If you do this, the small (extra) disk shouldn't get 85% full so easily

In any case, the small disk is extra (bonus) space, not part of the advertised space, which in your case is 300 GB

It's true that their templates set it up like that

If you install from an ISO, you can set it up differently :)

As I am based in the DE, I would have loved to be your client. But the lack of snapshot function has restricted me. I have received the same answer to my question since 7-8 years. I am just curious, you may not answer:

Why are you not providing a snapshot function? Is that difficult to develop it (in your propreitory panel)?

It requires a hell lot of time to configure a VPS properly. Getting things wrong due to an update or some other malconfiguration, etc. are reasons to have the snapshot function. It would be so much of help, if you could consider integrating it in your (propreitary panel and) offers.

    Just curious .......

  • Do they want to spend more for hardware, if you can backup yourself?

  • amarcamarc Veteran

Funny thing is.. They use ZFS and offering snapshots would not cost them much, be it space wise or development wise. I love(d) UltraVPS anyway because it's( was) super stable and 12GB VM for 5.5EUR per month is no brainer.

  • Question: Is this annual payment offer permanent? I mean, can I continue renewing the same price every year?

Yes. All their prices are recurring.

  • I wanted to ask why I sent an email to inquire about my order and he replied
"Your order was reject as it was detected as high risk."
    ?

  • @UltraVPS is it possible to add 250GB HDD to my special 1 plan. What would be the extra charge? Thanks 👍

Currently individual upgrades are not possible. For more disk space you can upgrade to our 25Y-Special-3. That would increase your disk space by 200GB.

    • 10 IPv6 addresses (from your own /64 IPv6 subnet)

Why only 10 active v6 addresses? Is this due to some network management related limitation (e.g., DDoS mitigation costs)?

  • I've already got 3 servers with you which I want to upgrade to these offers. The new billing periods starts from next month, but when I want to terminate them it says the terminating date is next January which is silly.

Can I order these new ones, transfer the images from those to the new ones and terminate those ones ending this month?

They must be using more energy than you are happy with.

  • Is running a mail server on them allowed?

That is being discussed internally. For the time being I cannot give you further information on that.

Regarding to our TOS § 9 I. we have a cancellation period of 4 weeks to the end of the contract term. If this period voided, services are renewed and invoiced. For further support, please send a mail to [email protected]

Mail server are not prohibited in general, but we do not allow sending UBE/UCE (see our TOS § 8 4.).

Unfortunately cancelling an order within the 14day period seems to lead to "order declined due to high risk" at the next order.
