  • I’m a customer too of this plan and I even upgraded my VPS
    And the performance is stable and great since day one
    I'm not saying that what's said above isn't true. Just that it's not the norm and that I'm very satisfied on my side and that it's perhaps an isolated case or a problem with a specific node :)

    Possible. I have made screenshots. I will post it, if necessary.

    If this is a problem in the node, then they should change it to a different one.

    But for sure this is not raising from my VPS or any activity I undertake. When the VPS is not active (not running any command), then I should be able to run any other backup commands.

    As an example, to check if this problem lies somewhere else, I executed Yabs and could not. I executed Yabs after 4-5 months and found I cannot run on it anymore, when there are no other commands being executed.

    @MrWonder did not yet decide for the partial refund that I offered him. Neither he accepted the Backup, rebuild, Test, Restore offer, to check for issues on our end.

    I informed @MrWonder that I and @heartbeat_IT are not interested to work with him in the future, but he can use his service to the end of the billing cycle or he can receive the partial refund that I offered.

    Then fucking investigate why? This is unmanaged VPS and you first need to rule out your own problems before going to provider and blaming his setup/hardware.
    Do you (maybe) run out of RAM becasue this is KVM and not OpenVZ?
    Does OOM Killer triggers? Is it stopped by qemu-agent? [can this even kill things?]
    What does cannot execute YABS means? YABS is bunch of different scripts tied together and it can die on any of those - it is CPU? RAM? Network? Disk I/O? Which part? What error? What code? Run that command manually? Take a look at htop/top when running YABS?

    Both of you are shameless people. My ticket did not get answered for two weeks. After I placed the message here, it was answered in five minutes without any appology.

    After answering, Maximilian made allegation that I was using Yabs too much. This was a very nasty allegation because I had mentioned that I am not able to execute any Yabs. Precisely that should have been taken a notice of and he should have refrained making this allegation here.

    Even reading that I cannot make any Yabs, to allege that I am running too much of Yabs is shameless and stupid.

    I wrote to Maximilian that I did not open any tickets because he did not answer for two weeks. So there was no point to discuss about the technical problems.

    Mind you, I am a senior Linux Administrator for 27 years, not a starter and young.

    I told Maximilian to move the VPS to a different node. He did not.

    Since 7.00 am, I wrote to him, that I am trying to make backups and move to a different server to reconfigure this problem server. But he wanted to reinstall my VPS. Why? I have reinstalled before 2 days.

    And I write him that he can do the backup thing only after I have taken backups on my VPS as they are the only ones I have on my development environment as all other VPS I needed to upgrade to Ubuntu 24 (while I kept everything here intact).

    So this is also a wrong thing to dfemonstrate that I am not co-operating or I have rejected all solutions.

    It is indeed a shame to handle a client's issue in such a shameless manner.

    In fact, I understood the arrogance to offer me a 10 EUR refund and say "Get lost". I wrote to Maximilian that it is not the question of money. I do not even mind to leave without a refund. The question is to find and track the problems and avove all there is no excuse or any sign of saying, it was wrong to not answer for two weeks a presale question.

    After I finish taking and shifting my backups, I will delete my VPS. I do not want a single cent in refund. Keep it as my donation to your unprofessional style of handling client's issues.

    Move on when you dislike the way they treat kind of "problem". He even offered partial refund.

    Does it not run at all, or runs and spews some output and then later the script gets killed (maybe due to lack of resources)?

    If there is some partial output post that.

    I bought it last month and didn't mention about double traffic here).
    Is the promotion still running?

    And a couple more questions:
    I wanted to ask if it is possible to put a VPN for 30 people ?
    And what happens if one of the users starts a torrent? ( By default torrent protocols will be blocked).

    P.s. I don't know how much traffic will be consumed by these users, if anything, I will have to buy or switch to another tariff.
