I had brought it but idk how dedicated servers works, how to split it to vps etc..

if you need VPS with windows , go for Hyper-V
otherwise go for ProxMox OS on the dedicated server

Promox is a software to split up dedicated in to vps? Thus its a free or need to buy license let me research

You could also just use your dedi. Splitting it into multiple VMs isn't really a requirement or anything.

Demand was unexpectedly explosive. We sold as many units yesterday evening (after advertizing here) than we did during the past 8 days (advertizing this same deal on another forum). We decided to increase the price to $29 when we reached that point. This $4 makes a big difference for us (given the volume), but it has killed demand. I do not understand the extreme price sensitivity, but I get that the flip-flopping is disturbing. We may or may not revisit $25. Those who were onboarded at $25 will retain this price. Thanks everyone.

You'll definitely still get sales at $29. I would attribute it to people seeing $25 in this thread and feeling the bait-and-switch on the checkout page discouraging the sale.

Just post again at $29 in a week or so.

I can identify with this. It caused me to hesitate. Also the similarity in name to Heyderdahl that just joined the deadpool. May not be rational, but I can't be the only one to think this.

Why false advertisment ??? Say it's $29 not $25 and they hosts on nocix dc. And for nocix dc is scaring shit.

Many people here are on budget and the extra $4 could make a difference for them. You probably never went through hardship times, but I know what I am talking about. Also keep in mind that this is just 4 cores box and this is low-end forum :)

$25 dedi deals are rare, $30 ones not by far as much. At $30 it's not really far below Hetzner and a couple US companies also run $30 deals pretty regularly. That $5 is the difference between (seemingly justified) FOMO and "Oh look, another $30 deal...".

This. But also, $29 is 16% more than $25, so I'm not sure I would say that is "extreme" price sensitivity. That is a pretty significant difference. In the end, $29 may not be a bad deal if the service is great and reliable. But it isn't a price where I feel like I have to get it right now. In a few days/weeks when I really need the server, I may revisit it and give it a try, but at $29 I am not in a hurry.

Anyway, thanks for the offer and good luck!

So I bought Heymman server instead of buying for nocix directly for the ipmi.
All preconfigured servers on nocix/wsi do not have kvm/ipmi setup.

This server from Heymman is great and works well!!!

However, does anyone know about ddos protection for it??

I know that nocix null routes ip, does Heymman have thier own ddos protection?

I mean, I figure since heymman can setup kvm/ipmi on servers at nocix, while nocix can't do it with their own servers...

Will heymman be able to do the same with ddos protection?

Our Kansas City datacenter facility isn't designed to filter network attacks. In case of an incoming network attack, we are generally able to only null route the targeted IP address. The null route will be maintained until the attack has subsided. If this is a recurrent issue, then we may have to ask you to seek a solution from a third party provider, such a service offering tunneling of clean traffic, or your service may be terminated. Services provided from our Amsterdam location are delivered with DDoS protection up to your allowed limit of 40 Gbps or 6 Mpps (shared).

In short, not on this deal (and facility).

    From their FAQ: https://heymman.com/faq.html

But that is the right way to make purchase decision because if you buy $25 in a hurry with out immediate need and make it idle one week then the real final price is $33/ mo

Only for that one month. If it sits idle for the first week, but I keep it for 12 months, the cost for that one week is pretty small. I would likely keep it for even longer, if it worked well.
