thanks! this means your ASN isnt geo blocked by bybit amazon cloudfront.
what feedback do you want on that?
it's your testing and I'm not supposed to comment on it.
Posting my observation again
Data transfer rate is pretty good, but it seems that either cpu core resources are capped or host node is pretty busy
cpu resources are capped
overall this provider won't be on my recommended provider list.
Do you see much steal or is steal time reporting disabled?
cpu resources are capped OR host node is super duper busy
you don't understand the question
linux can write the percentage of stolen cpu
You are just showing the system load, what is not good here?
I do understand the question.
Again, let me repeat, these VPS vCores are resource capped or the host server is super busy.
Actually no, 40% of CPU resources are free, so it would be better to show top output and st value
if 40% resources are actually free, please explain this lower GB6 score
https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/5906193
these VPS vCores are resource capped
compared to GB6 score on another VPS (2vCore 7950x)
@SebekVPS
And this lower GB6 score is consistently in the same range
.
.
Compare these GB6 score with this VPS with just 1vCore 7950X
Because it's not 100% free resources, it's only 40%.
You can check the % of CPU steal and I think you have already seen it because you don't show the result.
Although your words contradict your own words right now "if the performance of the VPS stays at 50-60% of raw GB6 score, then it is pretty good" , so I can't understand the objectivity of your testing.
You're comparing, not showing results.
Why are you comparing something where you don't know why the result is the way it is? I know, that's why I'm writing this.
if 1659 = 40 %
then 4148 = 100 % -> that would be a world record gb6 for this processor
4th page now. Should have just apologized and put the location in the thread
So are you implying that other VPS is on 100% free resources node.
In my further testing, vps is pretty good for running wireguard as data transfer rate is pretty good and it does not need lot of cpu resources
That's a strange comparison.
I said percentage of free CPU compute resource, you add that percentage to the benchmark result
there's nothing wrong with that:)
I'm not insinuating, I'm just saying that on a free node the results are exactly the same, because I've done that too. So it seems to me that these results are obtained on an empty node.
on @SebekVPS VPS with just WireGuard running ...
Updated -
stress --cpu 2
to accurately utilize resources and display % CPU stealing.
when the processor is loaded on a node, the turbo boost frequency drops, that's why the results are not the same as on an empty node
Benchmarking on empty nodes is not really a reality.
How much is the monthly bandwidth?
I am about to get 1vCore VPS as I need one for setting up WireGuard and a use case that works for me.
Just fair use so it doesn't interfere with other users.
There are users who use 5-10 tb for personal vpn on the cheapest plans with no problems whatsoever
perfect. I don't need more than 2-3 TB per month.
Thank you for allowing me to use trial VPS to run testing.
The to and fro between @SebekVPS and @dev_vps gave the vibes of this scene. Could never guess if dev_vps was going to recommend the provider with all the fanfare or if SebekVPS was going to explode any moment by getting annoyed with all the GB6 numbers and comparisons.
Thank you.
I needed this for Monday at 5pm.
Coming back to the topic -
I can't recommend VPS for Windows OS as the cpu feels about 30-35% weaker at all times. Therefore I was using the term capped with cpu resources.
The data rate is pretty good and this is excellent for running wireguard with my specific use case. I don't need much cpu resources.
And for $1.40 / month, this VPS is much much much much much much ...... much better than 10 euro/year vps from that premier data center.
@SebekVPS
seems like an insult.
as I am not making excuses and I write what really happens in real operating conditions
This GB5 score is actually pretty good.
.
And GB6 single-core score is actually pretty close to single core score of 7950x VPS
@SebekVPS
VPS is excellent for my use case (WireGuard VPN)
