It could be used in a DNS amplification (DDoS) attack.

Oh damn. Of course one can configure ratelimiting, but still, that sucks.

You could also whitelist you IP (when it's dynamic that's of course a bit more difficult), but I think that a VPN or hosting it on your NAS/Raspberry/localhost is probably easier.

Yeah. I used to whitelist my residential ASN for a while which worked fine, but of course, localhosting is way easier.

  • Run Windows 11 and see to crash every boot.

  • Write /dev/random to disk and then ask support why it isn't booting.

it is possible to run windows even on 768mb ram

1gb ram is enough for Windows Server 2019 provided vps has NVMe storage

  • resell it to anyone who is in need

  • they said they could give some 9 credit as a one time thing after I requested for a refund so I took it, felt that was a better choice as I could use that if I end up buying something from them in the future

  • A lot of people are idling VPS with RAM> 1GB !
Just get a hang on the "self hosted projects" or idle and chill !

Run nested virtualization and make it into 8 IPv6 only VPS (with IPv4 NAT if you are feeling fancy).
