Big day! The first servers what go to colocation by iHostART
I am delighted to announce that we are gradually transitioning to a Tier 3 data center located in Timisoara, Romania.
Over the next two weeks, we will be relocating our first server, along with some VMs, from a private client to this high-performance data center. Within the next two months, our goal is to migrate our entire infrastructure, encompassing all iHostART customers, to this new DC. We will provide further updates related to this transition in this thread.
For the first time, iHostART will be able to offer you high-performance services in the shortest possible time. Feedback from our customers over the past few months following the upgrade to the new infrastructure (available at uptime.ihostart.com) has predominantly highlighted issues related to downtime and internet speed. However, problems such as performance issues, CPU Steal, or unstable performance have been resolved for quite some time now.
The new data center will boast a network composed of two providers:
Main ISP Cogent with:
1x 10 Gbps shared best effort (provided by the data center)
1 Gbps from Telia (for backup)
Following the migration of all servers, an additional 10 Gbps dedicated (non-shared) connection will be added, resulting in a total bandwidth of 21 Gbps!
I extend my gratitude to @host_c for their invaluable recommendations regarding routers and network configurations to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, I want to thank all our customers for placing their trust in us. Without you, I would not have been able to colocate these servers together.
The only downside is that our residential ASN can no longer be used. Instead, we will be utilizing our own ASN (AS: https://db-ip.com/as215740). However, our residential ASN and current location will still be operational for a considerable period. This will cater to customers with old dedicated servers equipped with DDR3, as well as for special offers that we will soon launch, particularly targeting Asia, especially Chinese customers. For these purposes, we will continue to utilize our old location and residential ASN (AS: 9050).
The new data center is equipped with generators, UPS systems,Thermal camera, and redundant networks. It is semi-governmental and hosts numerous websites for town halls and some hospitals. Of course, our top priority remains Ignore DMCA, privacy, and porn websites
The data center's ASN is https://db-ip.com/as41635, representing a longstanding company that has been in existence for 18 years, with a consistent increase in turnover.

Calin

Edited now , unfortunately google translate and chatGPT don't like ignore DMCA and porn -_-
I actually read that 3 times and not believe my eyes. I was in shock, what will happen to the world if you go all white.
Glad you cleared the mistery, now all is fine in the world.
I see no IPv6 announcement from AS41635 or AS215740.
Give it a little time, it's already a big step, taking your servers out of your house, a data center was a big step, at any time you'll comment on that and give it motivation and it will be great.
You will always be the basement guy.
Its like a fungus; you can't get rid of.
congrats on the move and good luck on the expansion!
@Calin, so what's the offer?
It's April Fools' Day in Romania.
I don't believe anything.
congratulations, do they ddos protection?
>
It will definitely be one, but not the best, only a few firewalls considering that we are on the storage side, we did not ask for a price quote for something like that and I was not interested either , just more high price for mitigate 3.5 PBs+ of traffic per month
Regards
Of course no , it's a real announcement and most probality coming soon we post a vlog how we migrate this
Regards
EDITED:
@calin has a IPV6 /48, so at some point I think he will do that. Probably after he settles in with the whole setup and he has the time to test and implement IPV6.
Suck it, Hollywood!
You are getting confused which user is the one with the problem is @yoursunny
@jordi, Edited.
THX.
I'm surprised nobody asked the question on whether this means the prices of the services will go up?
But glad to see that you are investing in your company and brand to make it grow.

Hello no , prices it's same

Thanks!
Regards
Congratulations.
I was expecting a north korean datacenter
also you should move back to the basement just for being cooler
Congrats @Calin!
I wish you huge steps up in success! One day you'll be the "Big Company in a small town, Big company is the whole Country"
Your dark magic has succeeded, as usual, keep some servers in the basement for quality of life and to compete with yoursunny's brother.
Do share DC pics and porn in LET threads and discord!
This!
Thanks for helping!
@Calin and @host_c You should merge together and give us great deals
