So its unmetered untill we limit your 1Gbps line to 10Mbps after 10TB, that is not how unmetered works :joy:

an unmetered internet service is one that you can use as much as you want for a fixed amount of money each month.

The only way you can spin this is that you have 10Mbps unmetered and 10TB at 1Gbps burstable.

We can offer 1G unmetered for €100 extra per month, so no problem there. We're always trying to be transparent and honest, our plans allow you to use bandwidth as much as you want without needing to worry about being shut down. This FUP allows everyone to benefit from the uplinks of the node.

Offering dedicated and unmetered plans, especially on this forum is highly prone to abuse. I am sure you can understand that, but we want to offer worry-free plans.

Yes, we are Dutch. I don't think it's fair to make such generalizations. We're certainly not the cheapest, but we believe our offerings are fair for the services we offer.

Thank you all for the feedback!

Your title says unmetered, your website says unmetered, but somehow you still know how much the user uses and you cap at 10TB.

I get 1Gbps port unmetered doesn't mean an user can use 330TB/month, because there's a difference between shared resources and dedicated resources, but you're hard capping at 10TB.

What does "unmetered" mean to you? maybe we're wrong?

Because it's unmetered. If you set up a seedbox and start blasting traffic 24/7, you will never receive an overage bill, or get shutdown. We deem 10 TB a fair amount of traffic for normal use, once you go over that we simply lower the speed to 10 Mbit/s so you can still keep pushing traffic, while not impacting other customers on the node.

We believe this is fair for the quality network we offer. If you're looking for unmetered, flat and dedicated ports, we can certainly help you with this as well through a custom quote

You can market it as unlimited 10Mbit but "unmetered" is false marketing. You know when a user hits 10TB and you limit it to 10Mbit. That's how a meter work, otherwise you have no idea how much bw a user used.

Iam also dutch, it's kinda true :p . It's more true because you try to defend it :p . The way you advertise in your topic title is not the right way, people expect something else, anyway this is lowendtalk not highendtalk €100 for 1gbit unmetered vps is quite expensive, don't think you will find a lot of clients here .

  • Please try to do honest bussines, and not to trick people with your marketing talk, also on your website, it's not Unmetered it's 10tb at 10gbit then sell it like that.

Huh? The way I see it is that Hybula offers top quality - including the best connectivity I've ever seen - for a price mere mortals can afford. Plus their support is excellent.

Btw, my experience with Dutch hosters is generally quite positive.

Re the "not unlimited yada yada": 10 TB is a very reasonable amount of traffic, especially when the connectivity is really, really, excellent. A few of my VPS (from other providers) come with 32 TB but connectivity is meh. I'll take 10 TB from Hybula over 32 TB of meh connectivity every day and twice on sundays.

When it was advertised as "10 MBit/s unmetered with the first 10T at 10GBit/s" then nobody would complain about the advertising... maybe some would even hail the offer...

Thank you for your valuable feedback. After discussing this internally we've decided to adjust our offerings and simply state "10 TB Traffic" limits. After the traffic bundle has been used, the port will be limited to 10 Mbit/s.

The changes are also pushed to the website and we've requested the moderators to adjust our topic.
