Unfortunately, there are no discounts on VLE-4 and VLE-16 in the US.
I wish "KS-GAME-2" had more disk. 240GB is too small
I wish KS-4C or KS-3C to come back
I have a VLE-16 in the UK and the performance has dropped dramatically. Literally the old intel elite VPS is scoring better.
How much better is the old Intel?
Also, I guess your sample size is one of each? Really dosen’t say that much tbh
Please see the results below:
OVH LE 16 UK
YABS completed in 16 min 31 sec
Just for some clarity, we were previously seeing these results when we first purchased the server.
Now for the 8 core Intel Elite VPS results -
YABS completed in 12 min 26 sec
To me the intel is possibly going to be the better option?
From the information you provided, I can see that OVH’s VPS performance dropped too much in half a year.
Still waiting for that unicorn legendary offer for SG
I thought this was my chance when I read
yep! heck of a drop! these are fresh installs with nothing else running.
What would cause the performance to drop over time?
I spoke to OVH, raised a ticket and their response was:
The system was a fresh install, so there was no stress, but when it was running I was seeing lots of CPU steal.
My guess it's oversold and not managed very well personally. I have seen more stable results from other providers. Its really bad as well as they boast about the VPS 'reviews' and really if they did another test they would probably see the reduction I have seen.
Hello @JamesF , would mind dropping us the ticket reference number so we can have a look as well? Thank you in advance!
Sure, the ticket is: 'CS9437476'
Just to add the clock speed on intel shows as 2399mhz
and the AMD shows 2296mhz
I have also taken some screenshots of geek bench running in hetrixtools showing the CPU steel

Anyone ordered KS17 and got 2*1Tb SSD?
100Mbs is so low... I want to resist
now that's a good deal 1TB SSD
Translation
You are driving at speed of 20 miles/hours, therefore it does not affect you if the highway speed limit is reduced from 80 miles/hour to 40 miles/hour.
Should you feel the need to drive at faster speed, please consider our toll highways that guarantee higher speed access.
@OVH_APAC
Is this possible?
Anyone ordered KS17?
it can happen because ovh is so bad nowadays 😛
Edited.
It happened on previous deals
People mine XMR on these VPS's undisturbed. What did you expect lol
For some reasons they are not terminated since I keep seeing posts about it on social media.
For info, I just got it, it 480gb not 1tb.
Can you post the yabs
Thank you!
The KS boxes honestly would be great if they weren't bandwidth-limited to 100 mbps. They are practically unusable for me since downloading a file from it on my residential connection alone maxes out the whole pipe.
Hell I would happily take 1 Gbps fair usage @ some TB limit (some number less than 100 mbps x 30 days) rather than 100 unmetered...
Sure, as below!

I'm working with support and also @OVH_APAC as I experienced superb slow speed with Singapore location, not sure yet why so slow. Download speed is max. 500kb/s. Will update after if any findings from both of them!
Same
In france we pay 59€/m for 8Gb/s up & down (including many VOD like Prime, Netflix, Disney+, etc)
100Mb/s is so limited and take hours to fill hard drives
I understand that network capacity is expensive and Kimsufi range with Gbps full duplex might be a competitor of OVH higher lines (SYS, Rise but mainly Sys), however with the bw increase OVH might be the strongest dedi solution in the EU and CA on low-end line...
I checked Reddit sites from the early 2010s and I saw 100 Mbps BW too so I hoppe that OVH will decide an increase. On SYS line they done that, SYS-5 and higher got 500 Mbps full duplex.
Any opinion @OVH_APAC ?
Do you have to commit to one year to get this price?
After the first year is it month to month or another year contract?
Assuming its a yearly contract what happens if you want to leave early?
You do not need to sign a contract for this price. You will get the reduced price until the server lives. However, it is not a fixed contract so OVH can increase price with notification but it is very rare.
