I resolved the situation by buying a preassembled set of motherboard + cpu + memory instead of the parts individually. I got this Supermicro + Intel E3-1245 v3, 101€ total. An okay price without much expectation of performance, it just needs to stay on 24/7 without crashing overnight à-la Hetzner style. Still an upgrade compared to my previous computer.
