I am not sure why my the e-mails have failed to reach so many clients. Unfortunately I cannot catch a break from DDOS attacks this year.

This is the information provided by the datacenter:

Your server is the target of an extremely large network attack. This attack does not only create problems for the availability of your server but also for many other servers owned by other customers. For us, as a service provider, it is essential to guarantee the stability of our entire network.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to resolve this problem by regular means. We will do anything possible to protect your server from attacks. However, this attack is a massive one, which requires a lot of resources. Depending on the intricacy of the attack and the resources of the attacker, it is sometimes impossible to block such dDoS attacks with current technology.

The last part is probrably an exaggeration. However, clearly proper DDOS protection is a must for me by now, as demonstrated earlier this week where another attack took down the entire network stack in another datacenter. I clearly have managed to attract an resourceful enemy.

I've spent all night finding a solution, and thanks to Speedypage I've snatched a dedicated server in what I believe is a much more competent datacenter. The server has swiftly been setup for me and I am in the process preparing the node. I will import all data from the daily backups onto this new node.

I am very sorry for these issues, but I would never have imagined that anyone would spent over a month continously and specifically targeting a host that is under one year old.

Thanks for the update during this huge attack, any server might also get a huge attack like this, it's the action to resolve this that matters!

Stay strong and Thanks for the great follow up with current and future datacenter!!

  • I'm glad you moved from Contabo to another, more competent datacenter

It should be great. I know many have peering issues with Contabo, even within Singapore. I believe this should be a big improvement in that regards, and the node will have 10 Gbps which all should lead to a much better experience.

However, due to unforeseen IPMI issues setup is likely postponed till monday. For now, the old node is online again.

Will the CP SG be migrated together?

Competition is threatened by this quality service? Should be, because it's among the best i've used lately.
Keep the good work. i'm a proud owner of a shared service in germany, and everything is pretty amazing so far.

Yeah, I also didn't receive your email notification, fortunately I was also open ticket so I know that the incident was caused by DDoS.

Hopefully your new DC will handle it better. Thanks for you effort.

Amazing. But when you have a moment also do my ticket from December :)

It's probably the oldest ticket in the queue by now.

The issue is known and being looked into. However, it is very much unrelated to this offer.

Singapore migrations seems to have gone pretty smoothly. If anyone has issues in regards to this please open a ticket.

  • Been using HostBrr a few weeks now... performance and support have been great...I hope it stays this way..

  • @labze please check Ticket #4901131 , it's urgent

  • dany1 down Noticed at: 2024-03-16 06:01:57 (UTC+00:00)
    server services are not running.
    still closed and not opened

  • dany1 again down

  • labzelabze Member, Patron Provider

Seems like I can't catch a break this month. A auto-update seemed to cause some issues on the server. It went into a build-loop causing excessive resource usage eventually blocking the webserver. Weird issue. I am definitively making sure all auto-updates are disabled.

I didn't put this much effort in HostBrr to let a resistance put it down.

dany1 is up again and again down (with long loading time, 524 error, timeout)
but it seems there are database connection errors,
can't work in wordpress as of now, like adding, plugin.
and if it gets connected in-between, it is getting ages to add plugin.

  • AWITMAWITM Member

More people having issues with ports 80 and 443 not being open on their VPS after migration because of the DDoS attacks?

I made a ticket and they are now investigating the issue.

  • I suggested hostbrr to one of my clients and he is getting good service. but I have 2 questions. Are you making enough profits to keep the service running for years to come? is it possible to keep the service fast by not overselling at this price? I was satisfied with Hostmantis long ago then it got sold, myw.pt speed is good but I got some downtime lately. tested RackNerd too, I found it slow. so I am not using it. currently using speedypage. I need stable and fast hosting with decent prices not super low prices. I will request you to create an enterprise-level package for high-traffic websites (high LVE limits with longer time resources usages allowed).
