Bunker/underground colocation.
VPS + Storage VPS in Private networking
7$
I actually know of a place down the road from me that is exactly that. BUT $$$$$$
So example like a regular VPS with a public IP and then the storage VPS will only have private networking?
Firewall and NAT
South Pole colocation is located inside an iceberg, so it's technically underground.
Our price is lower than all other providers too.

presumably, paid with pushups right?
I wish for a NanoPi Neo with a small endurance MicroSD inside and a HDD attached to its USB port to be located inside a datacenter with professional cooling.
I wish you @DataIdeas-Josh to sell as cheap as possible such small ARM board with some storage attached.
NanoPi Neo and HDD are just a tiny example on how low I want things to go.
You'll need nat, or public ipv6 connectivity or something. Otherwhise there will be issues with software-installation/updates.... in the vps.
Then at that point i am not seeing the benefit over doing that, compared to just doing vps and allowing users to add "block storage devices" to it, that are getting billed as a separate option.
I prefer block storage devices, but they are generally expensive more than storage vps except some providers like buyvm.
As i have no overview of that market segment, i am not sure what constitutes "more expensive" in this regard. Are we talking a few percent, or more than double the price?
Regards
Put something on the East Coast already bud.
I'll buy you a beer.
Make it a Dr.Pepper then we might be talking.
I miss the original Mr. Pibb.
Dear Santa, for next year, I wish to receive the gift of being able to rent a dedicated Orange Pi 5 with 32GB RAM and 1TB NVMe storage, at a price no more than twice that of a Raspberry Pi 4 from RPiServers.
Rpi5 with 1tb hdd
I don't think he'd ever break even at that price point. Let Santa have some margin.
rpi5 does appear to support pci. So maybe eventually if someone comes up with an adapter.
