  • I’ve been a Fiberstate client for almost a year now and I’m so impressed with their service. We bought a mini arsenal of servers last year during Black Friday and we’re looking to double it this year. Hope this years deals are even better 👀

Glad to see the positive feedback :) We'll certainly help you when you need to build your server arsenal. Let us know!

  • I wasn't impressed with the 5700G system with 10gbit port upgrade addon. Max iperf3 upload speeds would be 5-6Gbit using multiple threads to other U.S. locations, not sure if this was due to the 5700G systems being in racks with smaller capacity top of rack switches. Would like to try a 7950x system with default 10G Port to see if there's an improvement there.

From Vint Hill OVH to fiberstate is 180ms during the day. It sure looks like something is congested on fiberstate side.

That's an OVH issue, they have a pretty strange route for some destinations: they tend to keep data flow inside their internal AS until reaching very close to the target (http://weathermap.ovh.net/#backbone_north_america shows a backbone infra and PoPs in NA). If you dig into this traceroute result, you'll find the route is like IAD (OVH) -> DFW (OVH) -> LAX (OVH) -> LAX (he.net) -> SLC

I highly doubt that. I have servers with webnx and gorillaservers (2ms away from fiberstate) and they don't have this issue from OVH.
