@sreekanth850 said: I think Enhance will add Node JS support by coming january. You can start with their wordpress option and then add node js later.

@sreekanth850 - Enhance is quickly becoming one of my favourite panels!

I had a chit chat with their team and it seems they are heading to a good roadmap. As the nodeJS was not yet done, i didn't go for it but waiting for them to implement Node JS.

their pricing is the same as directadmin.

Difference is that enhance uses containers. And you can add as many servers and configure your customers to newly added servers. As its container based, you dont even need cpoudlinux or similar underlying solution. I dont know if direct admin work like this.

What does the use of containers make it better?

I read through the site. The panel looks promising

better isolation = More security. If one customer site is compromised, other containers will stay secure.

Are you saying that hosts running DA risk all users sites being affected if one site gets infected?

    I don’t think so.

Or are you saying that each domain is containerized (unlike DA and/or cPanel where addon domains SUCKS)?

As for the original topic, as I’ve said, cPanel.

If you’re starting a venture selling web hosting, there’s so much to worry about and there’s no reason to let the panel be one of those things to save a few cents per user.

As for panels for personal servers, I’ve more and more just skipped it for better freedom, but, when I’m lazy, CloudPanel. Very little bloat, and tbh kind of handy to be able to say whitelist a remote IP in the same time it takes to even connect to SSH or to install a new user with a new domain with preinstalled SSL and even softwares in a few clicks.

More than a few cents choosing cPanel.

I didn't say so. Each software will have their own architecture and design. I had a long discussion with their support team. They confirmed that each customer will have a containerized space.
"The containerization is designed be transparent, it is similar in functionality to CloudLinux but it's included for free with Enhance" - By Enhance Team .

I request you to stop putting your words on my mouth. I'm very clear on this, Better isolation = more security.
You are always welcome to have your own opinion and understanding of things.

I didn't put any words in your mouth, I asked which of my two likely scenarios that you meant.

Because I highly doubt there's an active vunerability in DA causing all accounts to get affected if one is, loads of hosts would be having huge issues now if that was the case.

Again get clarified from Enhance support. Each site and services are containerized. and you can read about the direct admin security related question from their forum itself.

    https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/directadmin-domains-isolation-on-shared-hosting-tell-me-please-more-info-about-your-security-if-one-website-will-be-hacked.64049/

Read below point mentioned in the reply section.

    1. Will a hacker get access to ALL domains files on the shared hosting if he will hack only one shared hosting website (for example WordPress).

The permissions are based on the system user owner of the account, so is all the site are part of the same sharedhosting account, the attacker will have access to the file of all domains under de account.

And read the doc from direct admin for using cloudlinux for better isolation.
    https://docs.directadmin.com/operation-system-level/cloudlinux/cl-general.html

The point is that when you use DA, you need cloudlinux for isolating the customers. And their only each tenant is isolated where as in Enhance each sites and services are containerized/isolated. I hope you understand the difference. And this doesn't means DA has vulnerability.

  • Never heard of enhance, does it support migration from cPanel and Directadmin automated? the reason i like CWP is because this is possible with it, I dont have to worry about doing all the manual work

Directadmin I believe is on the roadmap but not available yet.
cPanel yes but in beta with further dev on the roadmap for next year.

Its $5 minimum based on the number of websites you host. Basically 1-33 websites is $5/month and then it increases per website from there by $0.10/website

  • Check out Plesk. It's feature packed, yet it has a very easy to use surface. You can do reselling with it ("Web Host" license), and your costs are fixed. On of their best things is their support. My company never had anything that their support staff wasn't able to fix right away, it is amazing. Also, with their NodeJS, Laravel, Wordpress, Joomla etc. integration, it is super easy to manage accounts and installations.

  • anyone knows how to uninstall geek panel?

  • Brainycp is the most complete and easy to use in my opinion for a free cp. MyVesta, Keyhelp and Hestia comes second.

  • I chose to use ispmanager. The ratio of richness of functionality to price is simply unique. The interface is delightfully user-friendly and pleasant. What more do you need?
