Bandwidth fair usage policy

Bandwidth usage is unmetered. Throttling will only occur if a user is consistently using large amounts of the available bandwidth so other users have degraded network performance, i.e using 500+ mbps constantly for prolonged periods of times is not acceptable.

CPU fair usage policy

CPU Cores may be fconsistently utilized up to 50%. Using above is acceptable for extended periods, but not consistly. Throttling will only happen if usage affects other clients.

    Yes :)

  • Hi, may I take the liberty of asking if I can replace the nvme hard disk in this package with a larger capacity hdd hard disk or increase the capacity of the hard disk individually by adding more money to the package?

No HDD available to these servers unfortunately. Can only get more storage by getting larger plans.

    /48 IPv6 per vps possible?

  • Invoice #13519

  • @labze just out of curiosity, why you're not able to offer unlimited bandwidth for the another plans?

  • Thank you for your answer, but that's a shame that so much traffic can't have a corresponding storage, I hope that if it's possible to increase the storage block, please let me know, have a nice day!

  • Awesome. @labze

    Unfortunately not.

There is a couple of reasons, primarily that there are fewer clients per node on these servers than others. Bandwidth limits are primarily imposed to ensure that every client can actually use what they are getting. We will see how this pans out, and then I can consider it moving forward.

For full transparency sake. I do not like unmetered as a provider or as a client. As a potential client I've seen several providers advertise "unmetered" bandwidth only to have it in their TOS that fair usage policy is 1 TB month and having to request extra, or maximum of 100 Mbps over a 30 minute duration before being throttled (effectively less than 15 TB a month). I'd like to think that what I offer is truly unmetered, but if we have just 2-3 clients blasting 250-500 Mbps consistently then the there is no bandwidth for other users, and then I would have to make what would seem like a random judgement calls for the client point of view. With metered, they know what they get.

And besides, all plans are "unlimited" because you will only get throttled to a generous 50 Mbps after limits are reached :)

Not quite sure what you mean. Don't have a looking glass but it is Hetzner's network.

  • @labze I think that DA might be referring to DirectAdmin.

  • Hi Invoice Number: 13520 Customer Number: 4891

    Surprise me!

  • Ryzen 8GB Germany price is 9$, not 8$?

    it's say €8 not 8$
When converting to USD, the provider usually rounds it up. So, €8 become $9

Thanks for it. Pre-ordered Core was 3 and now after upgrade it is still 3 core only. Can you please confirm a core has been upgraded. Thank you.
