:) , oh boy, here we go again, still grumpy over the "COCIU EVENT"?

Is there a pattern related to him? you made me curious.

I see tax is applied till the checkout page even after providing address from a non eu country

make the order with bank-transfer, as you can change the payment option later, and save the order, so we can see what is wrong there.

we have orders, but none are with VAT/TAX so far.

Also, until you do not create an account, the system has no way of knowing from where you are, so it displays VAT/TAX.

You actually can, as long as the annual price does not exceed 3x monthly limit.
For 3GB plan, $27/year is reasonable price, $27/quarter is excessive price.

For un-metered Bandwidth you think is excessive? hmmmm....... :)

At the moment we are selling these little services, as we have a lot of hardware idle-ing.

Our Wonder-Team is focused on IPV6 for the moment, as we promised this to the community when we entered LET, there are still some obstacles to cross. Mainly ISP/Modules/Provisioning stuff.

    I rarely exceed 100GB/month•server.
I only value RAM and occasionally storage.

How about a little A/B testing, you make three plans:

    1. $27/year for 3GB and 300GB monthly transfer
    2. $27/6month for 3GB RAM and 2TB monthly transfer
    3. $27/quarter for 3GB RAM and unmetered

I bet 50% of LE customers will take plan 1, 40% will take plan 2, only 10% will take plan 3.

We will see after we get it started the way we want, for the moment as I stated above, it is "under construction".

in a moment for yabs, IPV6 I answered above.

    $27/year for 3GB and 300GB monthly transfer
$27/6month for 3GB RAM and 2TB monthly transfer
$27/quarter for 3GB RAM and unmetered

1 thing is sure, we will not do transfer limits. That is not our mission, nor our goal.

  • @host_c said: Is there a pattern related to him? you made me curious.

Yes your post is very reminiscent of the style with its characteristic typos. So it's quite possible. Same localization same billing principle.

  • Is unlimited bandwidth real? Is it possible to use 300t of bandwidth per month?

all our services are unlimited yes, when the offers are posted it is specified if there are shared or not. we do not have dedicated at the moment, only shared bandwidth services. If you eat up all the bandwidth, we will contact you and sort it out, traffic is distributed by a balancer.

Do you even realize how much it costs to wire transfer to EU from other countries? It's much cheaper and faster to pay VAT

I believe the provider wants you to submit the offer by selecting "bank transfer" but without paying, so that she can fix the issue.
Afterwards, you can change to another payment method and submit payment.

    da. :)

  • seems very expensive even after the promo code.

  • host_chost_c Member, Patron Provider

Expensive is very relative, care to enlighten me?

  • the price is not very low-end. You should post yearly plans with more suitable discounts.

I compared with hazi who has regular price cheaper than your offer. Hope that explains.

You should post yearly plans with more suitable discounts.

Again, yearly plans are not an option for us yet, wrote above.

Also, we do not host servers in baseman, or use low-end switches, or use shitty hardware.

Data-center costs are high, premium grade hardware is not cheap, nor drives, memory and so on. I relay think we should look around, the cost of living is high today, so are expenses. if we providers cannot make a profit, we all end up like "COCIU" or others.

So again, for a service that is hosted in Data-center conditions, you cannot pay 4 bucks / mo. There are other providers here on LET that do that, go with them, it is a free market, you have a bunch of options.

Saying that this service or product is expensive, well, that is not objective if it is not compared to something else, and that something else has to have same specs. What is the metric?

Saying that the price is not very low-end, by what standard? 2018 when electricity was 2-3 times less? and 12 TB drives were 20% less?

We do try to make the best possible price for LET users, as we wish to have satisfied customers.

I mean you should have more low-end price/config.

    1 CPU, 512MB RAM, 10GB SSD, 1Gbps network.

    or

    1 CPU, 512MB RAM, 2TB HDD, 1Gbps network.

Something like that. More options for people to choose.

This is LET by the way. Your price/config is not low enough compared to other providers from Romania here. That's what people see.

  • host_chost_c Member, Patron Provider

So being in Romania, means we have lower costs of expenses? oh boy. Do not bet your money on that.

Also, Lower end configs will be available to LET, not on IPV4, on IPV6. At ~20.000 USD for a /24 at an auction, beat my math if i can sell at 5 USD / VPS / MO.
