    The IPv6 address listed on your looking glass is not responding to ping.
    https://ping.sx/ping?t=2a0e:8f02:f04f::1046 shows all red.

    Interesting.
    Default firewall behaves different than I've expected.
    IPv6 works normally on that node:

    root@localhost:~# ping6 google.ro
    PING google.ro(fra24s01-in-x03.1e100.net (2a00:1450:4001:802::2003)) 56 data bytes
    64 bytes from fra07s29-in-x2003.1e100.net (2a00:1450:4001:802::2003): icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=38.7 ms
    64 bytes from fra07s29-in-x2003.1e100.net (2a00:1450:4001:802::2003): icmp_seq=2 ttl=57 time=35.1 ms

    Please fix it or you will be added to no-IPv6 shitlist.

    @yoursunny @LTniger
    The configured IPv6 was wrong during initial setup.
    Now everything works as expected: https://ping.sx/ping?t=2a0e%3A8f02%3Af04f%3A1046%3A%3A

    Just out of curiosity, why not add in a UPS in the rack for the servers which should help with any spikes or dips when the power switches, thus hopefully stopping servers from shutting down/restarting when it switches.

    Hey!
    Yes, I know that you are most likely talking about yesterday's incident.
    The real problem is that we have a UPS guaranteed by the network configuration and it works within appropriate parameters, but we have not yet managed to find out the reason why the current UPS "randomly" cuts the output for several hundred ms and some of the servers end up being closed ( strange, not all) despite the fact that there are no interruptions in the electricity supply at the grid level.
    We are still trying to understand why the offgrid inverter behaves like this, and in the worst case we will have to move the batteries from the offgrid inverter to the hybrid one or buy a UPS that will only cover a few hundred ms when the inverter goes crazy.

    Proof that the inverter works correctly as a UPS when there is a power outage: https://youtube.com/shorts/ZUZ8nnNIuiU?feature=share

    I did watch that, I have no need for a VM where you are otherwise I would get one, but I like what you have done, I do like quirky things like this and I love the very open nature of what you are doing not hiding behind staged pictures etc which I understand why big DC's for security won't, but It's cool to see this.

    I have a decent connection at home and take advantage of that by having one of the off site backups as to my home setup and honestly stuff I host at my home has better uptime then a lot of providers I have been with haha.

    Good luck with the new job and good luck with the adventure of the DC

    Just Stop/Start your VM to apply those changes.

    Also one thing to note, edit the hetrix agent and set the network interface to monitor, I am almost sure that you are not pulling 4Gbps+ in and out over all the nodes ;)

    What do you use as 10G NICs (Connect-X 3) and switches?

  • bethpbethp Member, Host Rep

    Ok you got me there that is indeed very possible haha, I apologise for that I suppose its just a normal thing to see when people start out using Hetrix as a lot of people will just install and go no changes at all.

  • So regarding this whole double resource thing, now that ‘VPS Storage Basic’ shows 1TB, can we get 2TB in addition to 2x RAM and other resources?

    Hey!
    This sales thread is gone. (I keep them usually just 10 days while I can’t post new offers).
