    Looking at the description on you page it looks like this is basically a jailed account on the (physical) server, is that correct?
    Also searching for an alternative and trying to understand if it fits my use case, which occasionally includes wgeting archives from the web.

    Correct, it is not a VPS.

    Me too screwed by this, my contract ends in 6 days lol.

    my plan is was €6.25/Quarterly for 1TP VPS.
    I had a Servarica VPS with the same price/capacity but the disk IO was lower than Inception Hosting, so I let it go.

    so I'm in the market for a storage VPS.

    My bad entirely - probably too tired at the end of the week on Friday.
    Was writing the response above on the go and for some reason kept Atlanta (Clouvider, which owns IH, IIRC) in mind. Thought that's the one, which is being closed.
    Phoenix is of course should be about twice as far as that.

    Still can post pings though (if necessary).

    NetDynamic DE Yabs only did the network speed test as its only a backup box
    Managed to transfer a big chunk of backup over rclone last night with no problems
