What have you learnt from LowEndTalk?

in General
I got to learn about LowEndTalk while searching on cheap, alternative ways to host my mini Python scripts. I only joined this space for 1.5months, I have gained many insights on the budget VPS space. Learning how to benchmark, compare prices and even bought my very first VPS recently, thanks to this community! More to learn too! Hopefully to also contribute back so that others can learn from me as well.
So, what is your greatest takeaway from LowEndTalk?

I've learnt that the end is nigh.
while surfing LET, since certain deals are so luring in terms of pricing vs specs, that you tend to over purchase and then
1. get upset on your self for over spending
2. keep the box idling
Buy & idle
I've learned that eventually, VPSs are for collecting, not for production purposes but for running Yabs.
Is it about my Special Virmach VPS?
★ 4G-Special ★ $20/y
4096MB
3 CPU vCORE
100GB SSD
5TB BW @ 1Gbps
1 IPv4
Cheap but down since 3 weeks ;p
The lessson is, don't expect too much
Buy, Yabs, Wireguard, Crowdsec & then idle.

All servers unlimited storage, RAM, IPv4 addresses and 10Gbps dedicated port with unlimited bandwidth at $7 per month or $10-$15 per year 😂😂😂 #stupid
and second I just signed up for service recently, done nothing wrong and provider suspended service, I think provider is scammer 😂😂😂😂
Not a lot, but I like it
Any words you read here can turn into spending impulses that end up in many, many VPSes, and you don't have enough usage to fill them up. And then feel bad for your wallet during the long hours of waiting for your annual service to expire.
People throw money at me and when I reveal myself they act shocked
Buy → Idle
Not Buy → Regret
I learned the meaning of love.
@jar taught it to me in a handicap stall. I don't remember much but he showed me pictures later.
Buy cheaply and expect premium.
transfer to me then.
Read less, complain more.
Spend less, expect more.
DP is spot on.
I am surprised by how upset people can get, over a service that's a few dollars.
Okay maybe something isn't great. But it was $3. Never realized how little people value their own time.
That's because for some, $1 isn't just "a dollar", and I get that.
Serious answer, some of the info I picked up here about cloud servers and networking helped me pass an exam lol
I found out some people place their production stuff on 10/yr deals.
I learnd that I was overpaying.
And I've been here ever since.
They covered up the hole at the Walmart now.
Comment then get free doubled bandwidth, a single man operational, got prank when bought preorder plan, geekbench score 21.
I learned that for most questions here, the answer is " $7 ".
Ya, gonna ignore that...
How much do you earn per hour dancing at the local bar?
What is the mortgage on your house now?
What's for dinner?
For me, I learnt the importance of backup, and backups of backup, and not to keep the backups with the same host as the original...
And you are still overpaying here. Just count the number of idlers you have and the sum of money you are paying in total for all the servers, vs what you are using.
Ya, specially when you convert that to Iranian Rial and then you realize you are not paying $1 USD, but 42,255.00 Iranian Rial!!! That's over fourty two thousand rials!!!!
You could have just stopped at github. It's what they do.
trolling
and getting free stuff
