Vultr launches new exotic location

emghemgh Member

Israel, Tel Aviv

Maybe not the most exotic, but it's definitely not the most common one

would not recommend hosting anything in israel, unless you have customer base from this country and latency is very very very important. i would not even recommend hosting there to people that live there.
it has nothing to do with my personal believes or whatnot, Israel just has shit legalizations, corruption and they will happily compromise your servers whenever they want to. not only you have CIA and NSA on your data, but also Mossad and forgein agencies from pretty much any country because Israel loves backstabbing everyone.
Israel glows more than any country on earth, you will be safer in Mainland China than there.

Edit: The post above was edited and made much worse since I posted this, I was about to let it go but I just can't stand this fucked up place LET has gotten into since the Kiwi stuff.

I just wanted to share my Vultr newsletter, I've done so many times before, it's never been an issue.

Reported the post above as it's so indicative of what's wrong with LET, and I really hope that mods will take action.

Look at my post, followed by the reply - it's just crazy and horrible even for LowEndStandards.

Also: From now on, keep this thread about the Vultr datacenter in Israel. This is not the right place to puke out anything that you might believe about Israel, good or bad. If needed, create a new thread for that.

All I did was add intelligence agencies snooping on your data.
Don't know how did I offend you this time, but please take some Pfizer xanax and relax. Facts do not care about your feelings.

I'm calm enough to not even respond to the above, instead, I'll just ask again that we, from now on, please keep this thread about the Vultr datacenter in Israel.

To help give this thread some substance, here's a YABS for the AMD High Performance 1 GB instance for $6 (sadly, there dosen't seem to be any High Frequency plans in Tel Aviv):

Good to see Vultr always adding new locations to list. I know the bigger cloud providers have had plans to expand to Israel and the only one that has done it is Google Cloud.

Seems like there is still work to be done...

    Correct.

How? There you only have to care about the chinese govt, in Israel you have to take multiple local and forgein intelligence agencies in to account, they also respond to all court requests, even outside their country - while Chinese Govt doesn't give a single fuck.
None of them are "good", and I'd rather have less.

Show me one country with as many ties to forgein intelligence agencies and that "brutal" local agencies.
Israel is dealing with pretty much every country, and especially those who are the worst in terms of human rights(like Israel is on its own). Do you expect anyone in this long line of agencies with access to your data to be "nice"?
Do you realize how many innocent people died thanks to Israeli intelligence? For example from commercial and state-funded NSO group?
Anyone defending Israel is a lunatic, no matter which political side are you on.

    LMAO.
What you just said is fucking hilarious.
Assuming any "anti-semitims" with whatever I said in this thread, is lunacy.
Disliking Israel does not mean disliking jews.

I would recommend going back to definition of this overused word.

If I criticize hosting in Israel in a thread about Vultr Israel, nobody would react to me doing so

With you, it’s way more suspect, since you throughout the whole forum seems to get off on defending everything alt-right and attacking Israel

You really expect people to pretend like you’re a new person with zero history for each new thread?

I have never played victim cart, you seem to be offended any time someone mentions israel it unfavourable way, and then try to seem like a total victim by saying you allegedly get messaged by "white supremacists wishing you death" for being a jew or some other minority but you refuse to report it to authorities.

I only question things. And you like a good dog you are, respond to all of them.

I'm bored of you tbh, it was fun for some time but you are too easy to bait.

Google Cloud disk performance is so bad compared to Vultr.

Your ping latency is so high for the first one, I call shenanigans that that's normal. Better check an mtr or something. 160ms to Dallas, that doesn't make sense if more local destinations are also 160ms...
